It wasn't him, it was me...the issue with my trainer, that is. All the miscommunications come down to 2 things. 1-differing male/female communciation styles (and never the twain shall meet) and 2-this is the biggee, my self criticism fueling my interpretation of what he was doing. Now I need to find a way to not be self critical. In training I really am. He pointed this out to me 2 months in and I have slowly come to see it, but now that it almost ruined a good training relationship, I realize I need to work on it. To summarize, I need to find a way to believe I can do so I keep pushing to do...does that make sense. He says I haven't been seeing how much I'm capable of. I thought I did because I always acknowledged how my ability has grown, but everytime I hit the "I can't" button, what he was trying to do was get me to realize I could based on my current abilities. It means I have to push away the fear, and that's what it was everytime I said to him "I can't". Then the "I shoulda's". I just never realized how hard I am on me. I'd come and workout and do my best and it was never good enough...not by him...by me. How to change my self talk...no clue.... At least we're okay now. But I have to get a better handle on myself to avoid this in the future.

I was just trying to be silly. It's my standard response when anyone says their tail's between their legs. (I just think that expression begs to be messed with!)
