WW-Core

I ended up not really going on Core this weekend, I jus****ched what I ate instead. So yesterday was really my first day on it. I have to tell ya, it was hard finding things! I know I'll get use to it, but wow I just never realized how many foods I ate that wasn't core. Even my soups don't even fit under core. I found myself starving all day long. TOM didn't help any of course, but man was I hungry!

So last night I went to the store and bought a bunch of stuff for me. I was wondering if anyone had any amazing recipes or way to eat quinoa and/or barely besides soup.

I just Googled;   Weigh****cher Core Recipes and there's a host of websites....hope this helps.  I've been watching carbs, but maybe I should try Core too.  Guess it takes some getting used to and it's all about knowing your satiety level.  I can eat whether I'm hungry or not so that might be difficult!!

Yea, you deff need to eat only until "satisfied".  I'm going to have a hard time with that too. I'm praying that part will just fit in some how.  I figure heck, I don't have anything to lose so why not give it another shot!  I've only tried core once before, but like this time had a hard time with it.  I ended up giving up way to early I think though.  I told myself I'm going to give it at least two weeks and see what happens.

Carbs is what I'm having trouble with!  This plan is so wholesome that you can't eat so many things.  Of course you still have the extra weekly allowance of points if you want to use them, but it's still hard.  I LOVE grains though, so I'm hoping I'll be able to do it.  I'm going to prepare a bunch of different kinds and put them in the fridge for lunches, so they will already be made.  Think that might make it easier on me.  I hope anyways! :)  I'm going to do this today.

I glanced on the WW sight and your right, there is a lot of recipes out there.  But I thought I would ask everyone here if they know of any.  Thought this way I might be able to get at least good ones instead of ones that who knows what it will end up tasting like. :)

Did you try Flex?  Of did that just not work for you?

Oh yea, I've done flex off and on since I was about 14 years old.  The best I did was lose 40 pounds on it, and that was years ago.  Now though every time I try it I do lousy.  I think I've just came to terms that it's just not for me.  I think now I need to be more strict with my choices, not only portions. As I get older I'm finding that out more and more it seems.   Being a professional yo-yoer doesn't help anything either.   So work it while ya can girl! :)

I've made a barley "rice" pudding.  Cook the barley first... by boiling it on the stove.  Then you make a custard using eggs or egg subsitute, FF milk, splenda, vanilla, and cinnamon.  Put the cooked barley into this...and then bake it in a water bath.  I know that a lot of people make a quinoa pilaf type dish too. :)

Lap-Band June 14, 2001. Dr. Rumbaut, Monterrey, Mexico.
Lap-Band removed after 7 years and converted to Sleeve Gastrectomy on July 7, 2008 by Dr. Roslin.  I've had three happy healthy Lap-Band babies.... and one VSG baby.  5 years out from revision to VSG.  Gained 55 pounds in past 5 months, now considering DS. :(

Hey Holly I found you.  Now I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what "core" is.  And are we not supposed to mention certain weightloss programs?  Shame on me I didn't read all the rules....;)
