2 weeks on Atkins and
It's always better on low carb. Can't say I see a marked difference from low carb to lower carb, but as long as I'm handling my rough schedule (bed 8pm, rise 4am, gone 5am-6pm), it's all good. Right now, after a half day workout of core, cardio, pilates, and boot camp though, I'm pooped!
I do feel more "in control" with the carbs this severely restricted. And seeing results just shows me this is what I need. I've avoided temptations like donuts in the office just thinking "they will kill me...do I want to die".
Along with the 8.6, I lost 8" overall. However, my teammates in the Challenge are doing better as they were inactive before (like 10"/10lbs). Little jealous of that because they indulged during the 2 weeks and just lost the weight from the working out. Don't understand bodies like that.
Still feel like my body just goes against the grain and jealous of those who have a greater ease with it. But on the flip side, I've found what makes the work go and in a week I'll be in the 270s (I graduated college @270, 16 years ago). So, I plow ahead. In two weeks, I should be 275 or less.
At least I get to "eat good" on Atkins. Today, egg and ham crustless quiche, 2 hardboiled eggs, turkey burger with mayo, lettuce, and tomato, grilled veggies with mozzarella, scallops with bacon and green beans. Treating myself tonight to s/f jello with whipped heavy cream.
