ARGHH!
Well I weighed myself this morning after not weighing for about five days and it's up to 306.8! I gain weight sooo easily. I am pms'ing so I'm hoping a few pounds is that. So this is what I have decided..
I truly believe in a well balanced diet plan. Not sure how being insulin resistant will do with this, but I'm going to try basically a home version of the "other" WW plan, Core. I think I'll keep WW online for another month so I can use it as a tool.
Yes, I'll still be able to eat grains, but only healthy grains and no processed stuff, not even bread. Unless I want to use it for my extra points. Theres no counting points unless it's the extra weekly allowance ones which I don't even have to use. I also don't have to measure, I eat until satisfied. So I'm praying this works, I just have to stick with wholesome foods! I've heard wonderful things about it and at this point what do I have to lose! NOTHING!!! So I'm going to give it a shot before I start on some kind of eating plan that I don't really want to live with for the rest of my life. This type of plan is totally healthy and avoids all processed foods and white flours, etc. I'm really curious to see if just getting rid of all the process junk out of my system will make a big difference. I'm hoping it does!
We cleaned out our "family" piggy bank last night. So now we use it to go on a weekend vacation here in town. Yea I know, sort of weird. But the kids have a blast. Whole weekend with payed movies in the hotel, swimming, go out to movies, the continental breakfast the next morning. They just have a blast. So this will be hard just starting out on this way of eating. But I'm gonna take all the material with me so I can stay on trac.
Have a good weekend everyone!

Thanks. I'm actually sort of excited about it. I've tried it once before but I was stuck on what to eat. I'm finding the same thing, ALREADY. Just shows ya how much processed stuff I like. :) I just told my mom if I can just give it two weeks to figure out what to eat I'll be set I think. I told her hopefully I won't starve between now and then!hehe So far it's been eggs, tomatoes, banana, and edamame. I can already tell I'm gonna have some major withdrawels. But at least I can have my popcorn and grains.
I'm off to the hotel in about an hour. I'm not looking forward to a hotel with two to four kids. But seeing their faces have so much fun will be worth it.
Have a good weekend.
Holly, Well here we are on Monday morning and you've already had your weekend. I hope it was a blast. Isn't it amazing how our kids will be the determining factor in the resulted outcome of a decision! I have 3 of my own and am a single mom, so these small trips are a must for my family. They absolutely love them. About ww, what is that? Is that Weigh****chers? To be honest I don't know anything about them and have been thinking about investing in the program...heck nothing else seems to work, so why not. Besides the money spent there would have been money spent at McDonald's. I have a really hard time with the food factor. I don't know what to eat and what not to eat. I don't know what good portion control is either. I eat until I'm satisfied and then some, so I'm out here to get some informaiton on nutrition. I can say though that keeping out processed foods, sugar, and white flours DOES work. BUT if this isn't a life change FOREVER then it will NOT work, because the second you do put that other food back into your system you will gain. The only reason I say this is because I was once part of a weight loss group at my church that adopted this weight loss program and it required all of what I mentioned above and we all lost weight which was great but once it was over and we were on our own, most of us gained it all back plus more. That was very discouraging. I wish you the best of luck and hope to hear from you. Mandy
