OT Sad day

I just don't understand people these days! It's so sad. I logged online and BAM there it was Northern Illinois University. Shooting so far 5 dead. It makes me tear up. Thats 4 shootings within a weeks time. WHat are these people thinking?

Thank goodness Australia has very strict gun laws. 

I don't even know anybody who owns a gun.

It is very sad to hear that students are at risk even when all they do is attend a class.

Christa, I don't understand a lot of the madness these days.  It makes me very sad too.  It's almost to the point where I can hardly stand to listen to or watch the news.  I wish there was something we could do to stop it. 

J- Kinda like you said I hate to watch the news for one its all the negative stuff that you hear. You don't hear about the positive things being done or going on. the dwell on the negative things so to watch the news for me it is so depressing. Just alittle over a week ago a lot of towns around here were hit by a F4 tornado..including the town my mom lives in..had me so depressed! They were without electric for a week..and they would tell about all the people that died..and finding people in a tree...why air that??  Christa- its amazing what people do. I seen that yesterday about the shooting..i didnt realize though that this was the 4th shooting in a weeks time. But then again the news is so depressing to me. I seen today though that the boy that did the shootings has been off his medicine..so I am sure he will get a slap on the hand and be sent on his way..thats one problem..the people aren't being harshly punished for the things that they do...and guns is just so freely floating around. It is scary what goes on in the world today and we need some stricter gun laws!!! I know its scary for my kids because I dont want them watching movies or tv or anything that has violence in it because I dont want them thinking that is OK! Cause by no means is it ok.  But all of you that has kids these days or some of you that dont might even realize..if you try to find a good cartoon on tv for kids..goodluck!! Its hard to find good cartoons on tv anymore or even movies. They seem to have so much violence..and kids grow up thinking that is ok...even the video games aren't any good. I hate sending my kids to school to even think what could happen. The world needs lots of prayer!!!
