soy and whey???

So I got this mag the other day and this woman had lost 421 pounds! no surgery, no pills no nothing! She had a diet chuck full of soy and whey. She didn't have many calories but had soy/whey for breakfast and lunch then 3 oz protein with veggies for dinner. Some doctor "invented" the diet and I'd give him props but my mag is downstairs in the car and I'm not going to get it for a name lol ANYWAYS I was wanting to give this a shot...I couldn't see getting more than 1000 calories a day and thats at max! What do you all think of this???

Well, I think that it might be a jumpstart to get the weight moving fast, but I would definitely have a diet plan prepared to put in your mouth as soon as you get off of it, or that's the kind of weight you gain back the minute you LOOK at real food! And take that time to think about what you're going to be eating for life, while you're starving to death!  I know cuz I starved along with Oprah, back in the day. Mary

I'm all for soy and whey.  Heck I drink it!  BUT, I wouldn't only drink it.  Please don't go below 1200 calories without doctor supervision.  I've played some really scary games with it in the past, and I've been told by a doctor that I'm one of the lucky ones to be alive.  With just two of those and dinner, you could easily be at 700*800 calories.  I know my whey is only 100 calories a scoop.  I like to use it as a fast meal or snack replacement.  When I know I'll be tempted by foods right before I leave is another time I seem to drink it occasionally.  Whatever you decide, be careful!

oh goodness no wonder they say you can lose 20 pounds a month!!! Who would have thought...a doctor made this up!!

I have hypothyoid , I know if you eat too much soy and tofu your metabolism slows down and you gain weight.
