I just wanted to comment on the Alli. :) I like Alli. I use it sometimes when I eat too much fat. But heres the thing, when it first came out I was taking it...everyday well thru the week itself I was fine on side effects nothing major. But as soon as Saturday hit...it was like all the fat it had kicked out was coming out THAT DAY! Gross yes. Basically I just went to the bathroom ALOT and it basically leaves oil in the toilet....gross i know...but I never had like what they say "leakage" or anything lol.

Wow...just reading and getting caught up on this one.  I think our bodies all differ so, that there just isn't one solution for all of us.  I have been experimenting this week with limiting my carbs to fruits and veggies (except for my LS oatmeal, occasional sweet potato and flat outs one day for lunch) within my WW points.  Have really been keeping close track (thanks to Janina's accountability every night) and am amazed that the pounds have been melting off this week.  100% doing this since Sunday morning and as of this morning have lost 5lb.  I think I may be insulin resistant also and will approach my MD with this when I see him later this month....may even take my BS levels to have some solid proof to give him as he tends to doubt me.  I know I react WICKEDLY to carbs, and like you Holly, can gain 10lb over a weekend easily.  I haven't really done any extra exercise this week, so I know it's the carbs that are making the difference.  I have also been having two slices of turkey bacon every morning for breakfast and the protein seems to really be holding me so I'm not getting hungry. Just my two cents and what I've observed with my body.  I frankly don't like putting my body into ketosis (nightmares from when I was doing Optifast) and I have some problems with heart arrythmias (a-fib) if I go real low carbs and lose too much water weight....but this week's balance appears to be working for me.  I'm pleased I can stay within my WW points and just be making good healthy low carb choices.

just because you eating and cheating doesn't mean you should stay away.  I found out just facing it helps

Oh wow... you have had a rough week :(  Were they decent with you when you quit?  No matter how hard it is to quit... I think it's a LOT better than the depression of being in a job that you HATE! I think you probably made a wise choice. Imagine how hard the weight issues would be if you stuck in out- even just a few months. Low carb sounds really good for you Holly... are you gunna try it? I use to do low carb and lost really well on it.  And I do remember feeling VERY GOOD while on it as well as- my skin was really nice and clear. Not sure WHY that was, but I really noticed it. No blemishes etc.   I was in a low carb forum and a lot of people noticed it. My Dr was also PRO low carb. I'm thinking I might pop in at the health center some time today- just to get my BP checked. I've not been on ANY meds for like two months now and I want to see where I am before I go back to them. I am PRAYING that loosing the 30 # is lowering my BP some. My Dr had said he wasn't sure I really NEEDED the meds as I was "borderline".... one can HOPE hey?! Hang in there... things will slide into place with another job eventually!  Try not to be to down over it!
