Wow, it sounds like your Mom has come a long way in her thinking about somebody else for a change.  Which is hard for an alcoholic because the addiction has to come first. Who knows, by the time it's all said and done, you may have her eating right and exercising! Treadmill Have fun on your new treadmill. Mary

Stacy that is such wonderful news!!!!  I'm an eternal optimist so I hope this is a new page for her to continue to grow.  Of course at the same time I am a realist (strange combination).  I always hope for the best and plan for the worst. This is so great and should be cherished.  I hope it works out.  It's such a great sign your mom is willing to convert a room into a gym for you and move the temptations so you won't have to see them.

Cool!  I'm glad she's all for it, she loves you!  Maybe (hopefully) this won't have to be a bad experience after all.  I'm not sure how long since you've lived there, but maybe she realizes your all grown up now and her bad habits can't get in the way.  Either way, don't let them!  I also come from an alcoholic home so I can relate.  But with me he was always drunk so I never even noticed it most of the time.  Sort of sad isn't it.  Just keep strong and firm with what you believe in, I  have a feeling she will think it's great that you have taken initiative on living a healthy life style with your new life your creating for yourself!  Plus who knows, maybe some of it might run off on her! :)

Glad to see your life is turning in the right direction...((((applause)))))

I'm happy for you, Stacy.  Sounds like you have a busy schedule and even if things get bad at home, you can lock your door and take your frustrations out on that treadmill.  Hoping everything remains on an even keel with your mom.
