Did it again!
I know there's a lot of important stuff going around right now and this is insignificant.. but I have to say I had another REALLY good workout!
I did chest with the dumbells .. 50 lbs each hand, incline bench. Got 150 on the CHEST press. .YAHOO buckaroo! Those were the accomplishments. The treadmill didn't go so well... I got off 15 minutes while limping and holding on.. so I ditched it for the bike. I got praise from my trainer on the increase in strength and endurance.. also the size of my a**. Unfortunately the middle just doesn't want to keep up with the rest of it! He is trying to assure me that it's just gonna be the last to go.
Hopefully, this mood will carry me to the gym tomorrow a.m., and by the GRACE of GOD I'll be able to use this left hip so I can work my legs.
Then.. neeners, neeners.. on Friday I'm off to the land of toxic waste and strange and unusual odors coming from the meadowlands. ... nothing like mountains of garbage to make a person feel "at home". LOL Maybe my sister and I can slip off to the city while Jon's asleep!!!! YAY!
I'm gonna get a room there.. Lyndhurst/Rutherford. I checked ticketmaster, but I didn't see anything which piqued my interest. I was also checking out what was happening on Broadway. This is just a "I gotta get outta here" trip... so it really doesn't matter. I'll get to see most of my sisters and at least go down the shore and walk an empty boardwalk. I used to adore Seaside in the winter.
I'm going there to prevent myself from going crazy HERE! I'm gettin' a room there.. 1 of my sisters is in Lyndhurst, 2 are in Lodi... so I'm just gonna beebop around for a couple of days.
My back is much better, thank you. I'm still dealing with the left shoulder.. but I LIFTED today! I was afraid I did something really bad.. so .. I'm kinda thrilled that I used it with a degree of strength. AMEN!
I'm glad your back is better. Hope your shoulder heals soon.
Good for you!!! The great thing is you get out of the house and still get to visit family. I'm going a tad stir crazy in Michigan...snow, snow, and more snow. They say we've gotten double the snowfall as last year. I am so ready for some WARM weather.
Oh wow... Oh.. that snow. I really was going to head back out to Iowa for a bit, but no no no way will the stangers brave that kinda weather. They got 2 feet there yesterday and it's going to snow again tonight! I just don't know how folks live in it. I mean.. our idea of a blizzard in Jersey was snow that actually stuck.. looked pretty the first day.. made a big mess the second day. I haven't seen a mountain of snow since I was so young that EVERY snow looked like a mountain.
It must look so deserted.. people staying in their homes.. no one walking around. :( I do hope spring comes quickly for you!
We aren't as bad as Iowa, though it's getting pretty tiresome. The big problem is we are so spread out when I work in the office it's a one hour drive on a good day. Yesterday it took me 2 hours to get home. Oh no, Michiganians don't stay inside because of the snow. We're still out and about, maybe not walking on the sidewalks but we are still busy bees. Actually yesterday in the snowstorm I did see an adult riding a regular bike. Now that was a bit of a surprise. I think we were in the teens yesterday.
New Jersey sounds WONDERFUL!!!!!
