HELP! Geesh.

Ok so I have probably posted something like this over and over again! But someone just give me some ideas! Its like a week before TOM and I am dying lol. I eat and eat and eat! Ofcourse I have become ALOT better than I used to be. Like usually I would eat fast food every single day around this time lots of it. But since I really dont have much of a craving for it anymore...I have been eating the stuff in my apartment. The food in my apt. is a hell of alot healther than fast Food! But i am stuffing my face! I don't have anything too bad. Like last night when I got home late like 11:30pm. I was stuffing my face with turkey roll ups that had laughing cow cheese and pickles. Some canned fruit with light syrup. I had some more oreos while I was at my parents. AHHH! After I was done stuffing my face I was sitting on the couch and realized I stuffed everything down almost in a daze. Like i dont realize everything until I am done filling my face. Hmm wonder if I explained that right. When I am binging....which last night was a decent binge then what it used to be I am thankful for that! But its almost like I am not thinking or listening to myself while i am trying to say no. Then I realize whatI have done and go damn! But I cant control it when it is this time in the month. Any ideas on how to control this?
Once I open a bag of anything, I can't stop-lol! So, when I started this diet, I got my goodies, got some ziploc snack bags & broke everything up into 1/2 servings. Then I just grab a ziploc with 1/2 serving when I have the munchies. This way I don't have an entire bag of chips or cookies or whatnot.
Another thing I do is when I do bring junk food into the house, I get stuff that I only "kind of" like; that way I'm less tempted to overindulge.
You might also consider a "kitchen closed" time; say 8-9 o'clock. Make sure you eat something before you close the kitchen so that you are not starving at midnight.
Finally, get some 100 cal packs of snacks & keep them (and bottled water) in your car, so that when you are out & about in the evening, you don't miss the kitchen closed time & then eat too late at night.
Good luck!

LOL...done that so many times! Trust me those times get fewer and farther in between, so that helps.
I just let myself eat a little more. What happens to me, i'll be doing my usual thing, then notice I STILL feel hungry. THEN i flash on what date it is...then it dawns on me...oh yeah...TOM.
Especially fruit helps me feel more satisfied, and one serving of comfort food like toast with pb. Or pasta with red sauce and lots of hard cheese.
I just try to do self talk that I will feel even worse if I give in the sweets, or greasy foods. Those foods make me feel like an even bigger b*tch, so let's not take that road.
It's difficult, fer shur.
Girl, I feel your frustration! With my hormones from Hell, I can remember crying my eyes out, because I was so fat, and driving to Popeye's to get fried chicken.
This is caused by hormonal fluctuation inflaming the nerve endings. If you don't have Prozac, (most people don't) try taking some Motrin or Ibuprofen. It helps with the inflamation.
But it is great that you are PMSing on the good stuff. And whatever you do, don't step on that scale!!!

Its a week before TOM I do this everytime. Regardless if I eat no carbs or whatever and sugar at this time I will still binge regardless it doesnt matter what kind of foods I eat when it is this one week out of the month. I am just wondering how I can avoid it but in reality I can't. I am just happy with myself that I have made a step in it. I dont count on Fast Food now.
With the exception of the oreos, it sounds like the food you consumed was at least very healthy. Just keep making sure you have only healthy options in your house, especially during the week before TOM. Now in the case of the oreos, if you only had a couple you did great. Before surgery, I could have polished off a whole row at a time with no problems.
Even though you did binge, it sounds like it was more controlled than you used to be. Just keep working the food plan that works for you. Hopefully this will get better in time. Now lets see how I do post surgery. I don't binge but crave chocolate and salt in the form of chips during that time.
I think we can all empathize! Well... us woman anyway :)
I'm not sure what you can do to get away from it... what I do... I will try my best to just eat a lot of "Smart Pop" popcorn... (6 cups is only 2 points on WW) cause it's the MUNCHIE that I seem to need. BUT, there IS the need for sugar at that time (for me) and that is often when I'll get something I can fit in and if I DO go over... it's something I can work with. Like the candy corn last month :)
I also use ibuprofin sometimes, but it can make for a harder TOM. (it has a tendency to cause things to be much heavier) so I try not to go that route.
Try to keep "safe" things around at that time. It IS HARD! And, don;t beat yourself up if you blow it a little cause it'll all go away when you get back to "normal" again :)
LOL, you sound like me. I was up at eleven last night eating a piece of chicken! But I didn't eat any dinner either so I guess that was alright. I feel your pain, I truly do. I'm exactly the same way. Eat, eat, and eat more! One thing I've noticed helps a little is drink, drink, drink the water. I know it's not what you want, but it's worth a shot!
