I went to the gym.  I limped through 15 minutes on the treadmill, then got on the bike for another 20, then did 3 sets of bench rows ONLY 20 lbs.  Um....  3 sets of lat raises.. VERY light.. like 5 lbs.  I started to strain on the machines and had to take a plate off, but I got through it!   Yanno what felt the best though?  20 minutes on the tanning bed...  oh yea... 20 minutes of faux sunshine with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.. <-- very relaxing. North/south/north/south.. tough decision.  it's 10 hours either way and since Jon is coming, I can only have one or the other.  It's probably gonna be North.

That's awesome! I wish you continued success and hope that you can eventually be able to do those lat raises without taking off the weights.  Though if it does hurt...stop.  Do you stretch beforehand?  Perhaps a few minutes worth of stretching would warm up your muscles so that you don't strain anything...or it minimizes the strain. Way to go!  I hope you have a great time! ~Barbara~

Good for you!  Atta way to git yer ass up an moving!  Normally I would say south is better this time of year but you've recently went south. Time to go north!

South is logical.. after all, that's what a convertible is for...  but there's something to be said for walkin' on the boards down the shore in mid-winter when it's quiet..and at night the seafoam looks like snow on the water.  If I was REALLY crazy, I'd bring some traps and go crabbin' off the pier on 35 in Tom's River!  LOL I gotta try to put up at least 150 on the bench tomorrow... and hope my shoulder doesn't disagree with my decision.

A little WHAT?  The only thing I'm gettin' a little of is coming from the shopping lists!  I gotta get a LITTLE at Vitamia's.. a LITTLE a D'annas.. a LITTLE at Ferrara's.  Jon's coming WITH me.. a LITTLE anything else is outta da question!    Ask me the same question next time I head out to Iowa though!

Thinkin' of Iowa now......  I lost 10 lbs in 8 days last time I was there.  I've struggled with every ounce since I got back though.  Of course besides regular cooking and cleaning, I feel like I walked MILES through the casino almost every day.  Well.. there was extra cleaning too, and despite a couple bottles of pinot griggio (and the inevitable activity which followed), I still lost!  Right now.. I'm up 2 lbs again..  I don't know why...   I am so TRYING to keep my head together though.  Maybe I'm hittin' up too much coffee lately.  I've been having a grand old time with that coke zero and aspartame is supposed to be a no-no.  But lemme tell ya... that zero saved me from a real coke which would have had me runnin' to the fridge for insulin.   I got back on the bike here at home last night.  I'm gonna get 30 min in BEFORE the gym...  then I'm gonna do the regular do with Andrew there... then try to get another 30 min when I get home.
