Instead of focusing on the flubs of yesterday or today, let's look at the big picture and see what you've accomplished so far. For me?  I've changed my life into an athletic one, become serious about working out (and good at it), changed my mood significantly, changed my future prospects, and from July 07 to now 37lbs down (57 from my worst all time high 7 years ago). Not bad. You?

Great idea for a post!  We spend so much time beating ourselves up for getting fat in the first place, that we need to take a little time to reflect on what we did right. So far, I've lost 117 pounds, which enabled me to have the plastic surgery to remove the size H breast that were disfiguring my back.  I also had a Lower Body Lift to get rid of that big panni that was not allowing me to workout properly.  Not to mention that my butt was lifted back to where it was when I was twenty!  Now I have the muscle tone that I never thought was possible for me personally.  That was something only other people could achieve.  But I challenged myself, to get here.  So now, I challenge myself everyday to make sure that I stay here.   I feel so proud of myself for making my dreams come true.  Something new and different for me! Thumbs Up  Mary

Yea!  Good idea! Ok...  I panicked late July and began but didn't start having any success until late September.  I've lost about 85 lbs.  The best part is that my blood sugar is completely controlled WITHOUT insulin.  Lung function has improved, heart is stronger, neuropathy is at bay.. PAIN level has DECREASED significantly.  Skin is clear, eyes are bright.. night sweats are seldom (instead of every night).  I'm back in the gym and I'm enjoying my property now that I can negotiate it without help.

Work's efficiently running, home business is booming, I'm turning 40 next week and since a year ago, brought my weight down 150 pounds-- and now weigh what I did in 1989. 14 people at work today told me I looked "cute" (an odd compliment but I'll take it), I found a new cup of tea that I like, I can poop like a pro, and I had a half day today. I have no sleep apnea, no insulin resistance, no exertional asthma, no lower back pain, normal cholesterol, my blood pressure is 110/80. Life's okay!

Weigh 20lb less than I did this time last year Have started a water aerobics class and plan on joining the Y when this is finished. BP 120/70....amazes me at this weight Member of WW and finally believing that this is a way of life, not a diet. Most of all, I'm truly thankful for the inspiration, support and encouragement I've found on these boards.  Only been here since the end of December, but you can't believe how all of you have inspired me to get real about this weight loss and get moving again.  Janina, the daily food accountability is working where the weekly tracker hasn't for me in the past with WW.  Reading how all of you are so into your workout routines has really gotten my ass moving and I'm feeling much more positive that I can do this. I feel blessed to be a part of this "family"!

I've decided that this is NOT a diet but in fact a way of life, my life. I don't know if I have lost anything but it doesn't matter right at this minute. What matters is that I am changing and making good decisions, decisions that will ultimately impact my life. Yes, I am now on BP meds, antidepressants and my glucose is running borderline but I am doing everything in my power to make it work. I take my meds, watch my food intake and exercise. I am taking responsibility for myself. These are all things I never did before. It feels good!

Good post! Cuz we do a lot of things right here...it just does not show up as fast as we think it should! Me?  I am ~50 pounds from highest known weight! I truly enjoy my daily food. I feel "normal" about my food! For a compulsive person, that is huge, and actually was my one true goal all along. I love exercise and hate to miss it. I love to get my pictures taken.

Passing as 'normal'.

Style presumes that you are a person of interest, that the world is a place of interest, that life is worth making the effort for.
Don't be afraid that your life will end,
be afraid that it will never begin.
