I am a music lover (not dixieland jazz or most big band stuff), so I have lots of songs that move me. They don't necessarily have to be fast beat for some reason, maybe they just make me wanna be more sexy!
Faves:
Almost all Bob Seger, especially Ramblin Man, Katmandu.
Rolling stones, esp Gimme Shelter, Street fightin man
Tom Petty: Breakdown
Dixie Chicks
Crazytown: butterfly
Neil Young: down by the river, hurricane
Merle Haggard: Today I started loving you again, all my friends
Beatles: too numerous to mention
Jimi Hendrix: voodoo chile, red rooster, country blues,
Stevie Ray: pride and joy, tin pan alley, etc etc
Yo Em, I gotta tell you that the broad in the Voodoo Child video kinda scared the hell outta me. Her hair looked like it was combed with a broken beer bottle!
I don't listen to music when I'm working out because I try to stay aware of my breathing and how I'm holding my core muscles, to maximize the workout. If I don't have my head in the game, I'm very easily distracted. I'll be dancing instead of working out!
But when I'm cleaning the house, I turn on Aretha Franklin and Motown. Now that gets me moving!
