I got a job!!

I am now a working woman again!! I finally got a job at our brand new double platnium Lane Bryant store!!! (over 7000sf) I'm so excited...for one main reason 40% OFF lol. We're also moving the 1st of march into a new apartment with a full gym on site!! The apartment we're in now we pay 450 a month and have no washer/dryer and no work out center! This one we're moving into is 390 a month with everything. We can even have pets! I'm pretty excited about all this... Oh HELP...I don't know how much I weigh lol my scale says 314, my moms scale says 325, my grandmas scale says 300!! Should I go buy a new scale or what? I have a weigh****chers scale and its probably 5 years old maybe at the most! Don't know what to do about that? Mmmmm I'm making a slow cooked roast for dinner and it smells so darn good!!! Sorry guys this was so random but I'm in a pretty good mood...hope your all having a wonderful Thursday!!! ~Stacy

Congratulations on the new job and the new place!!  I wish I lived where you are!  That apartment sounds so inexpensive!!!  A 1 bedroom on Long island is $1200 at least! 

Oh goodness...I'd die!! I only make 6.50/hour and Jeremey only makes 11/hr so I'd really die!!

Stacy: I read your post and was d@mn.. 390. That is so cheap. I wish I could pay that for rent. ugh mine is like 600 a month. I so need a house! Congrats on the new job, and it would be wise to invest in a good scale. Tangent: The unecessary censorship is killing me! LOL!!!! Its like that Jimmy Kimmel segment! -Bud

I SO wanted to work at LB and thought about it so many times!  I wanted to work there PT and thought about doing it at XMAS to bring in just a little extra money -- but I seriously sat and thought about it --- my thought process was something like: "WOMAN, you KNOW you would spend your WHOLE paycheck in that store!"

So what would be the point?  For me, it wouldn't be worth it -- I'd probably spend my "extra money" plus some and come out in the negative!

I know my mom said the same thing! We're opening the store Friday so we are getting 55% off VS the 40!!!

Yeah 7000 sf! Its a new thing Lane has started on side is JUST LIKE Victorias secret I mean we're talkin its baby pink, its got the drawers with the panties and the sexy nighties and everything...Its so much like VS its crazy! The other side is the typical lane but we've got a big fitness section!! Bud- 600 a month??? I'd just get a house too!

Congratulations!  That sounds like fun!  Oh how I would go nuts over a discount like that.  I almost felt like applying at Torrid just for the discount.  I had to realize I need to work for money, not the other way around! :)

Woooo Whooo! Tomorrow is your big opening day! Have FUN!! Yeah... that rent sounds SO LOW!! OMG... if I rented here- I'd not find a place for less that $850- $1200 a month!  The average a sales person in a store starts around $8 and some get as high at $13.  But we pay almost $6 for a gallon of milk to LOL Anyhow- CONGRATS on the new job and have FUN tomorrow!!!
