I have had a great weekend so far with food. Exercise will be the challenge in stormy weather.  I can do light rain, but blowing, extreme wind, harder.  Going to a party tonight. Will eat normally today.   kicked off with a bowl of steel cut oats, 1c + 1/2 c blueberries + 1/4 c toasted walnuts + 1/2 c nf milk LUNCH:  pork fried rice, made by DH, lots of veggies, few peanuts + diet pepsi Tonight, party food and vodka + fresca   EDIT:  party food was, to my dismay, typical party fare:  deer salami, cheese, spinach dip, potato chips, dips, not a veggie in sight.  I ate deer salami and cheese a few times, couple crackers. When I got home at 11:30 p.m., I made a half meatloaf sandwich and had a handful of veggie stix with a glass of nf milk. Oh yeah, and one brownie I made! I will post is all later honestly. How about you guys?

I plan to cook. That's my defense.  If I go out to eat then I have a tendency to overeat because of the sheer amount of food on my plate. I'm not good at asking for a box before eating. Sometimes the wife and I share a meal but we usually have different tastes.  So..We plan to eat in. Our kitchen is loaded with healthy choices like lean meats, fresh veggies, salads and fruits.  There are no sweets (other than that bottle of syrup I'm about to chunk.)  We offloaded all of the fatty, sugary and high carb items on my mother in law. She needs some fattening up! :)  So the kitchen is in great shape!  Eating before we go out will be the key! I don't exercise on the weekend unless I happen to walk the mall. The weekend is my downtime from work and exercise.  Lest I get burnt out! :)

I don't really have a weekend strategy-lol!  I pretty much do what I've done the rest of the week.  Friday (before 3pm) is my splurge meal.  I biked 30 minutes this morning & am hopping back on for another 30 minutes after I post this message.  Its 1:30 & I've had 790 calories & 65 carbs so far.  I made up a new daily meal chart that I started using yesterday.  Last month I made up one but only tracked cal, carbs, protein, fat & fiber.  I decided this month to also track saturated fat, sodium and cholesterol....just to see how I'm doing.   I can already see that I'm going to have to watch my saturated fats and sodium.  I've been working on incorporating more fiber in my diet.  I was at 10grams and under.  But yesterday I started adding 1/4 cup of fiber one cereal to my regular morning cereal & eating a whole wheat tortilla for a snack...and that has upped my fiber to over 20 grams.   Thats about it for me.  Will spend the rest of my weekend cleaning my desk & doing my taxes-lol!

Hmm..  this morning I had an egg and a piece of sausage..

Around 1:00'ish I grabbed like a serving of oscar meyer shaved turkey for 45 cal and I just had a short glass of that coke zero.  If I get hungry maybe I'll grab more turkey or have an egg but I don't want to stand up too much 'cause I gotta cook yet and iron Jon's pants.

Tonight I have a whole chicken cut up and I'll do a portion for the kids oven fried, and me and Jon will have it roasted.  They'll get peas and boiled potatoes w/butter and parsley, and Jon will have a mix of yellow squash and zuchinni w/romano&asiago and a baby spinache salad. Exercise.. ut uh.. NO way.. nada...  I'm exercising my fingers right now.. how's that? Hmm..  Vodka and fresca.. ay ?  Never did try that.

we call the fresca thing a June Special, in honor of my sisters MIL, sweet lady, who died too early.  That's all June ever drank!

Nothing planned this weekend! I am laying in the bed as we speak watching the food network. I need to go shopping and do some other errands.. I just dont feel like it. I layed down after my walk and have been unable to move.. EXCEPT... to get some FOOD. LOL... I am taking it easy. I need to get moving though before the day is over so I can get back to walk! -Bud
