This man lost 600 lbs without surgery.  Simply amazing!!  There are others here on this very board who have lost vast amounts of weight without surgery to.  http://www.ketv.com/health/15193548/detail.html If only I were that disciplined. I'll need surgery to get me there and I'm perfectly fine with that!  It's still amazing to see folks do this without surgery though!

Hi Chris...I just found this board, so I'm not familiar with your story.  But I see that you are considering having WLS.  You said that you wish that you were disciplined enough to lose the weight without having the surgery.  I have made a few friends over on the Plastic Surgery Board who are all WLS patients.  I am constantly amazed at how much discipline that they have to exercise every day of their lives.  The only advantage that I can see that they had over me was 'the honeymoon period' of the surgery.  Which doesn't promise that you will get to goal.  A lot of them have had their weight loss STOP at two hundred pounds.  Once past the initial weight loss, they have just as hard of a time losing weight as I do.  Only they have that dumping issue, that puts them in bed if they're not working their discipline.   Sickened Ewwwwe I'm not trying to influence you one way or the other, that's your journey to take.  But if there is one thing I've learned from those ladies, WLS does not teach you discipline. The girls.  Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.  you got my last pics.  This left one does not want to drop at all.  It feels all up under my left armpit, seems even higher then when they first put them in.  The right is nice and dropped, everything looks great.  This left one is going to be the death of me. What DOES CC feel like?  It's hard and soft at the same time, so confusing. yes I'm sneaking off to NYC at the end of March.  Wanna come?? Love you to bits even though I can't keep up with things these days!! I'm actually still in albany because we had a stupid snow/ice thingie going on and i couldn't make it home so they put us up for another night.

Well now in the pics, I didn't see THAT much of a difference between the two.  But you know how we are, we obsess over things that other people think looks just fine. And in the pics, you were like two minutes of healing, away from being drop dead sexy! From what I hear, CC hurts, so I think you would know if you have it.  Besides, yours are under the muscle and silicone, so CC is rare.  Sounds like your pocket may have healed too fast.   Still in Albany?  That sucks!  How's John supposed to keep warm?  Girl, don't tell Nae I said this, but if I ever get to New York, it's gonna be to see Sterrilicious! Sealed Shut

Andrea!!! Waving How you doin', Girl?  Thanks for the welcome.  And I thought I wouldn't know anyone here.  This is a nice place ya'll got here. Yanno, that WLS isn't exactly my idea of the easy way out.  Those people are my heroes for going through what they go through.  I know I couldn't do it.  But that's just me.  If I want to occasionally eat a fried shrimp now, I don't want to have to foam up and lay in the bed to do it, yanno?  Just my humble opinion...mostly cuz I'm a weanie! Surely you know that you can have a fried shrimp after WLS...?  Even some RNYers can do that. Hell my sister in law eats fried chicken and and pork rinds and she's only 2 years post op RNY. Granted she can't put em down like I can!..but then that's the whole point of the surgery isn't it?
