I consider any chain fast food, even if it's not drive-thru fast.  Almost all the options are counterintuitive to good health.  Glad Uno's ahs lettuce wraps for ya.

I always check the calories on Uno's site before I go out on Thursdays so I know what I am ordering and what not. I usually ask for dressings on the side or if it comes with fried chicken on the salad I ask for grilled...if it comes with pasta which the Lettuce Wraps do I don't eat them I usually give them to one of the girls to eat.  Even tho today I had a total meltdown when it comes to food. At lunch I went to the rents house to let the dog out and give him some attention (He loves me the most lol) I just stuffed food in my mouth and just kept going on. I am pretty sure I consumed a heavy amount of calories but I will live with it. Anyways so I need to track that and figure out what I am going to eat tonight...so basically I just weighed out the Long Island I am not having that lol.

And i just got done tracking that....I believe I am going to blow off Uno's tonight.  I can't face it I have to go to the gym to burn some of this off. OMG!  I should have just made my tuna last night and brought it to work like i planned but I felt sick, like I was going to puke and i had a major headache. So I didn't SHame on me. I HAVE to go to the gym I am disgusted with myself. And I feel gross.

Girl.....it's o.k. to have on "off" day from time to time -- just don't make it a regular thing, and jump back on the bandwagon right afterwards. You may not have made the best choice at lunch time so plan a little better for dinner (as you said you do anyway) and then make ya some tuna for tomorrow!  You already had negative something hundred calories the last couple days!!!!!   That's probably why you were hungry!  I know when I don't eat enough for several days in a row, I get ravenously hungry and find myself in situations where it comes over me and I find it hard to control myself.....so I understand where it's coming from.  Just don't beat yourself up over it!

I have been really wanting to try buffalo.  It's so expensive though.  How about pork?  How much leaner is it than we really know of?  And to other meats?  Anyone have any ideas?   I know it's been advertised a lot lately being the "other white meat", but I haven't checked into how lean it really is.  My husband is a pork eater big time.  He loves the stuff to no end.  He would be thrilled if I cooked it more often.

Yea, the whole poop ordeal did sort of kill it for the chickens didn't it.  Whenever we go to Homer in the summer time they have a little baby chicken farm in this one store.  I always want to buy one they are so cute.  My husband grew up with them also and just thinks it's so funny that I think they are so adorable and want to raise one.  Guess those fury cute little guys don't stay that way! :)  Told him I'll keep it until it gets disgusting. hehe  There just so cute!

Do you really think buying meat at a butcher store really makes much of a difference than the supermarket?

Personally I've always prefered butchers.. there's like NO Itallian butchers around here and it's disappointing. I'm jumping in on the pork discussion here... Next time you're in the supermarket, pick up a pork tenderloin package and read the label.  The fat is sooooooooo low and the calories are lower than beef.  Unfortunately, we rely on fat for our weight loss so I make the tenderloin for the kids while Jon and I contemplate going out to catch one of them cows in the field across the street.  It would probably be easy.. they don't seem to move very quickly!  LOL I'm sure there are more fatty cuts (thinking back to the country style ribs) Hey Neecee.. whaddaya think about the eggs?  I sure do eat a lot of eggs!  Just had two scrambled for lunch and they were DAYEM good!

well, that egg thing. Cardiac care forbids them...so there is that. Yet, i hear that the lecthicin in the whites negates the cholo in the yolks.  I am to the point where I try not to eat "too much" of anything. One day it's great, the next, it is not.  I eat eggs 2x week, at most.  1-2 at a time. hell if i know.
