This Saturday I begin a challenge at my gym, sort of a Biggest Loser contest for most bodyfat lost. I gathered a team, we'll be doing group training that will also include classes, Pilates, nutrition counseling, etc. First prize is 20 free PT sessions (worth $1400).
I'm going to start to restrict my carbs further for this 2month competition. I'm keeping a team blog and will also cross post on my other blog.
Looking forward to it, hoping I can move my weight loss faster. Being a slow loser works against me, but I build muscle fast, which can work for me (in 6 months I went from 52% b/f to 45%). I believe I will be the heaviest person participating which could also work in my favor.
PS Chris, this would be a good time if you want to join me as a low carb buddy ; ).
I have an appointment with a nut tomorrow morning to be placed on a 6 month pre-op diet. I plan on trying to persuade her into suggesting a low carb plan. I mean..that's how i'll have to eat after surgery anyway so I might as well start now right? Anyways, I'll let you know how that goes. I have ordered the Atkins book and it should be in sometime soon I hope.
