There is one more thing....

I forgot to tell you guys. As everything is falling into place it's as if my dreams are all coming true all at once. There is a chance that I am playing Softball this summer. I found someone that is putting together a 23 and Under team. I am going to ask some of my elite playing friends to play. So currently I will be working out ALOT more and practicing to get back into it. I'm ecstatic. I guess if the team doesn't build up then I will live but hey I will be in awesome shape! lol. So I have to start running and building up my muscles in my legs. I plan on hitting up some batting cages every weekend. And if I become the Freshman Coach I can practice in the gym after their practice is over with!!! HAHAHA. YES!
That's so awesome! I'm hella jealous! I have been wanting to get back into playing softball for a couple years now and I can't find any adult leagues that are amateur-ish really. I played for about 11 years when I was younger (I'm 29 now). I was all excited to find out that they have a softball team where I started working (the Police Dept.) but it's not co-ed. That's SO not right! I am going to have to look into that. I know of SEVERAL other girls in my area that would love to play so this just might have to be the first year they do CO-ED dangit! I want to get back into it. I have this fear that I will suck since I haven't played in so long, but back in the day, I was pretty darn good!
I'm happy for you!
Sadly, jen, I have always been a wanna be! However, i get an A for heart and effort. i played on the same Beer League team for 15 years. Got me through some tough lonely times during my divorce years.
I may try to find a church league this year. Will have to watch my mouth when I error! That's would be the hard part! LOL. Do you have church leagues?
I would have the same problem with my mouth -- probably make a fool of myself. I thought about the church leagues though. I might have to just go for it -- quit using that as an excuse and get back into it. There are some really good players on those teams, but also room for those of us who need a little bit of time to get back into the swing of things! I went to the batting cage last summer for the first time in a few years and I actually did pretty well.....better than I had anticipated after all this time. I will have to look into that!
Tears actually came to my eyes! I try to always visualize you sweeping up balls and regrouping to throw them like a powerhouse from third to first!
I always start thinking of softball this time of year, the second I see violets peeking out of the wet grass! I have retired, but now, my GS plays and he loves it, has the perfect body to become very good, too. He is very motivated to run, do exercises, only 8 years old. Makes my heart sing.
SPRING TRAINING IS HERE!!!!!!
Go, lil sis!!!!!!!! Only wish I could see you play.

I can't wait. To be on that pitchers mound again, in the center of the game controlling what goes on. The feeling of being the best one out there and daring the batter to swing at my pitches. Being up to bat and looking at the pitcher as in saying throw anything trust me I will hit it. I seriously had tears myself yesterday I was like holy moly...School in June, Coaching from March until May, Maybe some Fastpitch Elite Travel Softball in the Summer. Just OMG!
