Style presumes that you are a person of interest, that the world is a place of interest, that life is worth making the effort for.
Don't be afraid that your life will end,

Hi Shygirl! Welcome! I'm guessing that the best place to start is with your doctor.  Does he have any recommendations for you?

Hi ShyGirl, Welcome!  I am newer here too, but there are lots of good people around here and they have lots of ideas and support to give. I think the important thing to remember along your journey is that some things will work for YOUR body better than others.  There are some universal things that tend to work across the board, and I am sure in reading through older posts, etc... you will find all kinds of that type of advice.  But remember, if you find that some things are working for you better than others, that's o.k., because I don't think that everyone's body necessarily works exactly the same.  We did not all gain the weight for the same reasons, and therefore I don't think we all will necessarily be able to take it off the exact same way.  Pay attention to what your body is telling you, and yes, work with your doctor. One thing I know everyone can agree on is that you have to start moving more.  That is one thing that WILL benefit everyone across the board, even if you have to start out slow.....walking for 30 minutes a day will help you tremendously and if you feel you want to work your way up from there then you can. Some people have to jump into it gung-ho -- change EVERYTHING all at once, and that's what works for them.  Others, like me, have done it so many times, that it seems to work better to ease into it, cutting things out slowly, increasing the activity more slowly, and ultimately, losing more slowly.  I have to do it that way, or at some point I will find myself burned out and feeling deprived, and therefore more likely to get out of my better habits... Work with your doctor to find what is going to work best for you, and come here often for advice, or if you just need to vent!  WELCOME!

HI shy & welcome! I have a few questions, mainly to get to know u better! what do you mean by good food? why do YOU think you got fat? what are your main areas you think you need to change? what are the barriers in your life that may make it harder to lose? (job, kids, money, health)?

What i mean by good food is healthy food sorry if i did not word it right it was my first post and i was a lil nervous I am not sure how i got fat just by eatting the wrong thing's and eatting way to much of it.. My main area's are my tummy and hips  I guess its the stress of being over weight is making it harder for me to lose and i think that it ha**** me all at once
