I understand you will be having gallbladder surgery next week.  You will do fine.  I had mine out when I was 30 and it was a breeze.  As long as they do it laproscopically and not open it won't take any time to bounce back. Good luck and let us know how you are doing. Brenda

Thanks!!   It's a week from today so I'll definitely stop in when I get home and let you guys know how it goes.  I'm sure I'll be fine.  Only thing they did mention is that if I have too much scar tissue in my tummy from my lap band, they might have to do it open.  I hope not.

If they have to open you up....you're a tough cookie. You can handle it! :) You will do fine...plus they make Vicodin for all that :) Vicodin is good for pain.....makes me loopy and fall asleep fast and never wake up lol well eventually. So good luck girly you'll do fine!

I have no doubt you'll be just fine and probably a much happier camper once it's done! My prayers are with you for your comfort!! Be Blessed! Lori

I hope everything goes well for you.  Whats the chances you have too much scar tissue from your lap band anyway, or did they say?  I just looked at your profile, your doing great!

Ah, ze gallbladder! So far the Actigall is keeping mine in my body, but I expect it to implode any second now-- I was so riddled with sludge and stones pre-op-- my surgeon prefers that we try to keep it in as long as possible-- then when he does remove it, he also tweaks and tightens the RNY and looks for leaks, scar tissue and adhesions at that time too. Hope you feel better!

Good Luck Janina.  I'll be praying the surgeon can do this laproscopically.  Do you know how long you will be in the hospital?
