75 down!

I think about the number and try to imagine the volume.. the mass... and although I want to jump up and down and shout "HOORAY", I must be mindful that it's only a reminder of where I've been...................... and I have a ways to go. It sort of feels like my runs to Florida... I drive through Georgia and feel like I've been driving for so long.  When I hit the top of Florida I get a tad excited, then quickly realize that I need to travel even further than I have already in order to get far enough down the coast.   Happy morning to all! WOW Lori....75lb is GREAT!!  What an accomplishment and well over half way there by the looks.  I'm fairly new to this board...how long have you been working on that?  I've never been able to lose that much weight, but certainly hoping to do that and more this time around. You go, girl!!

I'm the most weak willed person I know and if I can do it.. you can!! I guess I started at the end of July with Nutrisystem but gained 11 lbs in like 2 weeks.  Then I tried very low calorie/low fat and lost 28 lbs, but started to gain by the end of September.  By October 1 I blew a fit.. ditched all the insulin and most medications except the lasix and potassium, and went as close to zero with carbs as possible.  On November 1 I joined a gym and hired a trainer in an attempt to keep my butt from hitting the back of my legs.. lol  so far .. no go.  I feel that butt. The most cheating I did was a couple of shots of cuervo and 2 kami kaze's when I was away.. and I still lost like 9 lbs in those 11 days. God has smiled on me in this and for that I am truly greatful. Lori

Oh wow, good for you!  Your doing fantastic!   Do you really eat no carbs??

I can't say ZERO.. but as close as I can get.  There is .6 carb in an egg, and ocassionally I nip on a couple of broccoli florets but that leaves me with a low net because of the fiber.  Also, there is 1 carb per every 2 tbsp of half n half that I use in the coffee..  I also do sugar free french vanilla for 1 carb per tbsp.  When I'm stalling, I whip out the meat and egg fast.

OMG! You are doing SO GOOD! I envy the heck out of you! You have worked HARD and sure deserve this celebration!!!   I had to kinda chuckle at your description of the distance... reminds me of a few years ago when I tried to explain to my state licensor what it felt like for her to "pop in" on me as I'm working with like 8 kiddo's- just out of the blue!  She laughed cause I told her it was like the feeling one gets as a cop pulls up behind you on the highway... you KNOW you're doing okay and your not doing anything wrong... but it makes me nervous as he#@ just having one behind me LOL :)   Anyhow... YOU ARE GREAT!!! Keep up that GREAT work!!!
