I concur! I HATE it when a potential staff member doesn't have any questions for me - or when I ask general questions about the commuity etc and they don't have an answer.... Look at the company website and do some research - it doesnt have to be a tough question but it will let them know you've been interested enough to look. I love it when people ask "off topic questions" like... "I saw on your website that you are involved with Kiwanis.  What is that?" It has nothing to do with work and everything to do with something I am interested in.  In answering the question I can tell the employee a lot about who I am as a PERSON - which gives them the chance to know me better... also it tells me they've take the time to at least google me!  Lord knows I've already seen their myspace page! because I am in sales in a relativley small community I alwasy as "what do you know about the people who live in Liberty Lake?"  often I get blank stares - people dont have a clue.... If I get an answer like - above average income white golfer community I at least know people have looked!

How about "What's a typical day at XYZ Company like for the ABC position?"

that would work just fine! I also like - is this a new position or an existing one?  If it is an existing one what happened to the last employee???  if it is new then ask if they are experiencing growth or moving in a new direction

That's actually one I wondered about when they first called me in for an interview. I forgot all about that, thanks I'll use it!  I'll be doing a lot of admin along with helping them so this is actually a good question.  it will let me know what I'm getting into! :)

Well I survived!  It was actually a fairly good interview I thought.  She has one more person to interview on Monday and then will make her decision.  So we will see!  Thanks for all the support and great input.  You guys are so good. :)
