Challenge anyone...It's a New Year and a New Chance

I was just reading Cammy's post and thought maybe we all should have a weight loss challenge again.  What do you think?  I know this helps to motivate some people.  It could be a short or long term one.  Maybe with a start date of next week and an end date of Easter or Memorial Day.  This way we could really see how everyone is doing.  In addition to this, maybe we could post how we are going about our weight losses.  This would definitely give others ideas on how to modify their plan if it isn't working quite as well for them as they like. If someone who knows how to include charts in posts could tell me how you do it, I would be willing to keep track. Now saying all this, I have my VSG surgery next week so I don't know if I should participate.

Oh come on...I love hearing from the surgical types! Stick around.   I think I can be 178 by Memorial Day.  i am not sure what I weight right now...i'm guessing 183ish.    I will state 178 as goal.

I've failed every challenge I've entered to date so I see a trend going here. I'm going to bow out and not participate... I'm wondering if committing to a specific number is causing me to fail.  It makes me feel obligated to do something and I don't like to be obligated to anything... so I think i'll just go at things at my own pace and what happens happens.. :)   But g'luck to all of you!  I know it's a great way to motivate many people!

Chris, why not make it an exercise challenge or inches challenge then. Buy a shirt thats a size or 2 smaller and make that your challenge or challenge yourself to increase your cardio by 15-30 mins by memorial day or lift 5 lbs heavier weights more reps. I don't know just a suggestion.

as for me: 180lbs by memorial day (hopefully more though)

Discovering me like never before!
To God be the Glory!
