Hell if a pill is what it is to getting someone a boost..SO BE IT!
If it was that bad for us..surely the doctor wouldnt have prescribed it..
I HAVE taken it myself before..it gave me a boost..a way to set my mind.. and look i am still here...wow....BUT before ever being given a script..they did blood work..i had to constantly have my blood pressure taken...and I had to be weighed often..and last..i couldnt be on them more then 3 months..cause yes they can be addicting....but i think Christa is smarter is what she is doing...like said before
DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS
"If it was that bad for us..surely the doctor wouldnt have prescribed it.."
Wow. I'm sorry, but that just blows my mind. Both pharmaceuticals and doctors push the wrong options...based on sometimes limited information at the time. There's a reason meds get pulled off the market. Docs just do what the pharmas tell them.
Sorry, but I'm an insider in that industry and I never trust a doctor 100%.

Wow...just feel like I need to throw my $.02 in. I so identify with you Christa and your addiction for carbs....my eyes welled up hearing you explain. I feel the same way....can eat making wise choices all day and eat a perfectly good dinner and be FULL and SATISFIED following that meal and still just could die for something sweet. And once I put something sweet in my mouth, I could just keep eating nonstop until I'm so stuffed and disgusted with myself I could die.
And Jerz....I KNOW you are right from experience! I at one point was on an eating plan with no white flour or sugar whatsoever for five months and lost 70lb. What was more amazing, was that I TOTALLY lost my craving for those type of foods. (after as little as a week) I swear the refined sugars and white flour are worse than crack. I know that's what I need to do again, but keep telling myself I can eat in moderation...and a taste of something sweet throws me under the bus again. Your plan is working so well for you and I'm so happy you have discovered the key for you and are so motivated. You truly are an inspiration. I so wish I was in that place but still trying to convince myself that I can eat anything I want if I just adjust portion size.....I'm truly beginning to believe that that's a fallacy for those that are truly addicted.
I don't think there's a right or wrong to your two opinions....just two people at different stages of their addiction. I think Christa and I are like the alcoholic who still believes they can conquer their addiction without AA...and Jerz, you have admitted to being an alcoholic and realize AA is your only hope. (maybe a poor analogy, but it seems that way to me) I just hope I can get back on that bandwagon.

Wow Jersey.. I see why you have a full days load..I see why you are so busy....You seem to be a insider of a lot of industries!!! I mean how do you manage to do it all??
Sure..I do know some doctors that give these diet pills to everyone..but when i went to the doctor and he first turned me down and had me try something else and that didn't work then he tried me on these pills..I have gone to this doctor for years and if HE KNEW it was going to hurt me he wouldn't have given them to me..some doctors don't care..and SOME DO.
I just wish i had the brains that you have..and could be an insider of so many industries like you.
And sorry to admit... a lot you say....blows my mind also.
I truly despise sophomoronic posts. I mean, when boards become like high schools where there are gossips and taunts and stuff like that, it's a real shame, and reflects totally on the bullies making the taunts.
I don't know where you drew this comment, but yes, I've had a lot of experiences. My primary profession has put me in many industries and in a position of learning a lot.
And I will say that I do know a lot and am smart. So what. I'm not trying going around saying neh-neh-neh-neh-neh-neh like you seem to be.
If you don't want others to share what they do know, and find it condescending when they do, then you'll be putting a lot on Ignore.
