I dropped 2 of the 4 I gained...

I dropped 2 of the 4 that I gained over the holidays but Oh Lord! WHY did I allow myself to BACKSLIDE as I did!?  Arggg! I know it's normal and all that but how DUMB! All the work I did to get it OFF... and now I'm BEHIND by several weeks and back to the weight I logged in like Dec 3! So I've lost a MONTH in precious TIME and GAINED two pounds to boot!  Arggg! And I was SO CLOSE to hitting the 180's.  I *made* myself weigh AND LOG this morning as I think that is key. I've not been logging (lol... I'm a "logger")  my weight since before Christmas. On 12/12 I had made it to 192... sooooo close!  Today I have to get my water in! I've got half of it in front of me now- that will be gone by lunch... then I'll re-fill and do the other half then :) I want to be in the 170's by March 1. If I loose 3 pounds per week from now until then- I should be 173 by then.  I soooo PRAY this happens! Just wanted to make myself accountable today. Ya'll know where I'm at now and I think I need to be open about it so I SEE it myself :)  I *FEEL* fatter this week- but my pants still fit the same- hopefully this time next week I'll be reporting a 3 pound LOSS  :) :)  Better get moving- I only have 3 little ones today but have a lovely (NASTY!) visit with a state official. She is bringing her supervisor along  so she is likely to be a whole lot nicer than she normally is LOL, Funny how they do that :) Have a GREAT day! BTW- thank you for all your thoughts (wayyy below!) on the exercise equipment!!!!

Ok.. back up.....  I would like to put this as succinctly as possible without offending anyone... here goes..     SH*T HAPPENS .. but it's over!  You're back on the move.. you're doing the do!  It's not uncommon to go through the holiday season with a little reminder.. and 4 lbs is just a tiny reminder!  :)    Yanno, I KNOW how ya feel and what it feels like.. I stress over every ounce, but it's not time I'm losing... just my mind.  OFFICIALLY... I'm giving you an "ATTA GIRL" for NOT giving up.. for doing an about face...  AND for putting it all down in black and white!

PS...  I'll pray for ya too, but I'll also pray for your peace and comfort.

I too put on weight over the holidays....managed to gain 7lb between 12/8-12/29.  Last week I lost 3.5 of that and still beating myself up over it.  I think for me, it's so hard to focus on the positive and see myself as a success, rather than a failure.  Anyone else who had done that (including you who gained 4lb and then have successfully taken off 2 of it) I would congratulate for getting right back on track and being accountable. Why can't we treat ourselves with the positive feedback and encouragement that is so easily offered to others?  Glad you're back on track....it would be so much easier to just give up and let those pounds pile back on, but as long as we keep fighting the fight, we're going in the right direction!  I have decided that even if I only average 1lb/week this year, I'll be 50lb lighter and a heck of a lot closer to my goal. Keep up the good work....Sherrie

Glad to hear your back on track.  You work so hard at this.  I agree with Lv, don't let it get ya down..it's over with.  Your back on track it sounds like and that is the important part.    LOL, I cracked up when I heard ya were a "logger".   I'm one too!! :)  hehe  That is funny.  I've been doing a half ass job, not getting any where.  I'm stressed and just fed up with everything.  Feel like I've given up in a way, but still know deep down I don't want too, that's why I'm still here.  So GO YOU!!  You get right back on track, good going!!!
