What about hunger?

OT but, wood chopping.. now there's a strenuous exercise!  I imagine that burns far more calories and builds so much more muscle than any piece of gym equipment!  Unless of course you're using a hydraulic wood splitter..  :(

Actually.. three ways.  Tie a chain around a fallen tree out in the woods and drag it back with the lawn tractor.. use a chainsaw to cut it up.. and if it's small enough, put it on the splitter.. if not, use an axe to make it fit.  Sometimes I have a load delivered and use an axe and wood splitter to get them done.  I'd say it's actually more work to carry and stack it.  When I have wood delivered, I have them drop it so I have to carry it back to the rack and stack it myself.  Now that makes for one HECK of a good sweat!  Of course, then it's cut and carried and stacked after that. I'm likin' this country kinda stuff.  NOW for the first time since I moved here, I'm about to go walk (with a walking stick) to the back of the property.  It's only about 5 acres, but there's some climbing involved.  Okie dokie, smokie.. I'm off!

I'm an country boy at heart myself.  I love the idea of splitting wood and doing things outside.  Unfortunately, I'm very lazy and have become accustomed to "uptown" life having an IT job.  I split wood at my house from time to time but I don't have a wood splitter. I use a maul. Split a truck load of wood like that and you won't be wanting to carry it anywhere! hahaha  A truckload lasts me all winter though so I only have to do it once a year.  I want to move to the country and I plan to do so someday soon.  Got some more fixing up to do on my house then I'll turn it into rental property and move back to the sticks where I belong.... so i can chop my wood and do my off roading! :P To hell with all this fine dining and fancy clothes in the city!
