Roll call for the bandwagon!

OK... so I confess....over the festive season I just managed to cling to the edge of the bandwagon... and now I am hauling myself back onto the bandwagon.

There are 3 slices of my Christmas cake left, 1/2 of a Christmas cake my MIL made, a a stash of cookies and one box of Guylian chocolate truffles... apart from that the Christmas goodies have all been eaten (mostly by my kids and hubby).

The chocolates... I will eat with hubby no more that one a day slowly over the next few months.  The cakes... well I do love Christmas cake.... maybe I should freeze slices to slow down temptation.

The good news is my 4 week 'no exercise bike' rule from surgery has now finished and I am back on my beloved bike!  I have enjoyed watching my new DVD's while biking.

Weight is stable and within healthy BMI. I have a vague plan to lose just a little more before my LBL in April- that way I have more 'up' movement space in my BMI range when I am sitting about recovering.

Who else is back/still on the bandwagon?

'fess up!

hey Em!! I never fell off but it hit a few bumps along the way!!!  After my LBL in March I didn't lose my appetite so much, strangely, but after this last surgery I couldn't really eat.  This one, as you have read, was a little more intense than the other ones, for some ungodly reason.  But I guess the swelling along with the discomfort I was having kept me from overeating because I felt so crappy.  So this holiday season wasn't as difficult to get through as others have been. I'm with ya, girl, count me in and on the bandwagon. Donna

I am on that wagon and my Xmas transgressions are getting smaller and smaller behind our wagon!  I have a goal to drop an additional 10# in 2008.  That is a scant pound a month.  I am sick this past two days, dragging myself to work, no walking, no yoga.  I am also not eating much, so this is a wash.  Thank you, Em! Pass the water jug and the fresh lemon to squeeze into it.

My initial thought was to start trying to get healthy and lose weight BEFORE the holidays but it proved very difficult to START at that time of the year.....hard enough when you've been doing it to keep it up, but to BEGIN is harder I think....  so I really kicked it into gear with the first of the year.  I am doing it differently this time than I ever have in the past -- instead of cutting everything out and jumping all gung-ho into the crazy exercise right away, I am easing my way into it.  I am not following a PROGRAM per se at this point in time but I am definitely being very mindful of what I am eating and trying to stick within some various guidelines.  I am keeping track of what I'm eating on thedailyplate.com and that helps me too.  For the first time in a LONG time I feel really on-board with this and I am not ravenously hungry all of the time.  I got through the first few days that were a little bit difficult and now my body feels more regulated.  I guess my program is eat less and healthier and move more!   I'm ON the bandwagon....for the long-haul!    and down 10 lbs. as of this morning!

We have a little left over from the holidays. Hopefully, the rest of my family will fini**** off soon.  I don't like having temptation in the house.  I am on the bandwagon and PRAY I stay there.  I have been in a rut way too long.  Spring is coming and I need to get into action.  My motivation is generally good through the week, but the weekends are a struggle.  It truly is a mind thing though.  That is one thing that I have definitely learned during these last six months.  Everyone truly can do it if they set their mind to it.  YOU HAVE TO WANT IT WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND SOUL, BABY!! I'm back on the bandwagon after a much longer sabbatical!  I can't remember exactly when I slipped off but I think it was somewhere around July or August.  I managed to gain about 10lbs or so. I'm amazed it wasn't more.  I was in fat heaven all those months!  I had begun drinking diet soda and having 4-5 energy drinks a week as well.  I guess the only thing that kept me from gaining more is the 1 mile a day that I walk while commuting to work. Nonetheless, I'm back on and gulping down the water.  Fate has sent me a sinus infection which makes food tasteless! Thank heavens for that! Makes it so much easier!  Hate the damned congestion and snotty nose though. :( Blegh!

i'm trying to get back on the bandwagon. i don't think i did too terribly horrible over the holidays with eating. but i did craptastic at exercise. i probably didn't exercise at all for a week and a half to two weeks. really, it think that is because it's embarrassing to me to do it around my husband! odd i know, he even did one work out with me over the holidays. but it really makes me self concious so i always try and do them when he won't be around. now, i'm trying to adjust back to my normal everyday schedule of getting up at 6am to get the kids ready and off to school etc. after spending 3 weeks of staying up really late and sleeping in really late, it's exhausting my body to get up at 6am again lol. my weight also did a huge fluctuation with my TOM during the holiday and it hasn't gotten back to normal yet. i'm still about 2-3lbs above my last lowest weight. it's driving me nuts to be honest.
