Feel like I am starving!!!
Yah, and I remember when she was complaining about how hard it was and how she could never do it! :P LVS, you've made a complete turn around! You had a very negative outlook when you first started.. look at you now.. All positive about everything!!
And they say weight loss doesn't make you happy! Pffft! lmao
It's also all the medication I was on.. mama mia.. I was a half a nut!!! Out of control blood sugar messes with mood and emotions as well.
Heck, I may have to take a new photo and actually SMILE!
I try not to let it bother me that I can feel MY BUTT ON THE BACK OF MY LEGS! (but I'm workin' on it).
Oh oh.. yea.. at first I tried Nutrisystem for 2 weeks (and an 11 lb gain), then low fat/low cal (and was SUPER miserable)..... YES! This attitude is quite an improvement. I'm actually stopping to smell the leather as I walk past it, hoping to once again WEAR IT!

Thank you!
Pssssssst.. yes.. type II's have a devil of a time losing... It's a 24/7 hunger.. cells are starving so one always feels ravenous.
My blood sugar is not normal yet.. I have to be really careful to stay away from carbs for now. I guess I'm staying under 170 most of the time, but I won't know until my blood study comes back. I haven't taken a shot of insulin since October 1.. when I decided to do a REDO on the diet thingie. I realized that it was one of the things holding me back.. besides.. it makes no sense. My pancreas is producing insulin but the beta cells are broken so it's not delivering glucose into the cells, which in turn causes the glucose to be stored as fat.. now why on earth was I shooting 6 shots of insulin in me a day? Oh.. to get MORE glucose from my liver which can't get into the cells which in turn causes THAT to be stored as fat... (crazy)
Be Blessed!

Hi SS!
I cannot add much to what has been said! HAR!
BUTT of course, i WILL!
The first few days of changing up an eating/exercise plan is predictably uncomfortable. I COMpletely disagree with Jerz on the idea that you should never feel hunger to lose. It's not a BAD thing to experience true hunger, in fact, it may be crucial to experience it once in a while to check for understanding of what I am eating that day. It is tricky to be able to differentiate on wanting food and needing food.
When I *think* I am hungry, I don't jump up grab the the first box of fiddle faddle i see and start macking. I take at least a moment to observe my diet for the day thus far. I kind of go over the last time I ate...if it was hours ago, yes, okay, I will allow myself some food group perhaps not well represented, usually fresh fruit or veggies and complete that snack with a protein drink or string cheese or the like.
If I percieve hunger and it's only been an hour since a balanced snack or meal, I MAKE myself wait it out - I am obviously not starving, so I ge****er or a cup of coffee or a cold calorie free drink.
Ya know...just taking time and making other calorically free choices can help you not feel that hunger. I have been amazed many times by making myself wait even 20 minutes - I am usually not hungry any longer. I think I trained myself to respond to every time my tummy barked. i mean, come on.
Having said that do try on a daily basis to do the following:
- eat lean proteins with most meals or snacks?
- eat at least two servings of low or non fat dairy?
- eat a couple servings of higher quality fat (olive oil, saffola, peanut butter, avacado)?
- eat at least 4-6 serving (1/2 cup each) of fruits & vegetbales?
- eat at least 2-4 servings of a high quality grain (whole wheat, barley, quinoa, wild rice, etc)?
- drink plenty of water?
- exercise: anything, walking, weights, rolling on the floor, jumping rope, spanking the monkey, swimming, biking??????? (Do NOT be a snob at all here...any of it works, especially if you did zero before now! Dr. Dean Ornish will be quite surprised at Jerz and Super Trainer Guy's proclamation that walking is pretty much a waste of time.)
If you can answer yes to most of the above checklist, you should not experience much true hunger. Percieved hunger - that is another story - find something else to do.
You can plan to have all the foods available in that checklist so that you are not dependant on the box of fiddle faddle, too!
This is all a matter of planning and being able to replace old behaviors with new ones! Best of luck, and keep coming back.

I'm gonna chime in here.
I agree Neecee.. Being hungry puts you in check.. this might sound crazy, but being hungry to me is actually a luxury and gratifying sometimes! (Weird Eh?) I know I am not overloading my body. It should not be severe hunger either.. Slight growls are ok, but the ones where you stomach churns is not.
First SS... I suggest fiber dear and you need a lot of it. Not sure if you have blood sugar issues, but the sausage and biscuit could have ran you sugar up, dropped it, and left you feeling hungry. Be on the lookout for this.. alot of breakfast goodies do this to many.
They have breads that have double fiber and low calorie (40 or 50) a slice!
Try 2 (80) slices of these in the morning with an egg (70)... That's 150 calories right there.. then add a half a banana. I think that's 60! That a nice breakfast for 210 calories.. Somedays you could even add in some lean ham or turkey for a breakfast sandwhich.. this will add an extra 100 calories. Hell if you feeling like a champ, add the pork sausage!
There is also omelets with as many veggies as you want with a slice of toast.
Then...2 hours later grab a small salad, veggie sticks w/dip, the rest of the banana, or yogurt
Lunch Have a slice of that bread with some chicken breast, mayo and cheese (half a sandwhich) with mix veggies, small salad or fruit. You could have a big salad with protein. You can have hot veggies with some protein source a small roll..
Then.. Your yogurt a couple of hours later..
Dinner.. basically some variation of what you had for lunch...
By veggies I don't strictly mean raw veggies, because I cook and season my veggies. I even add fatty meats and butter to give them flavor. Southern style!
Basically i am eating every 2 - 3 hours. I don't experience hunger until the evening.. and thats when I usually forget to grab something before I leave work. You can take my suggestions and make some slight additions to your meals to see if this helps... Go to the market get veggies, look for veggies recipes so they don't get dull to you (this friday I am trying turnip fries), be open to try new veggies (I'm contemplating baby bok choy for the next one to try), and do some research for high fiber products and try. Also get tha****er in! I try to drink at least 8 ounces after every meal. It adds to the fullness.
Alright I've fibered you to death.. I'm done.
Jersey:
I myself have lost 80lbs in the past year from strictly walking.. as a matter of fact all of my weightloss (180 lbs) and maintenance has been from walking in some form, because I have never hit a gym before in my life. Different strokes for different folks. My 2 cents.
Off to bed!
