WW weigh in....

Well, my WW meeting is Saturday morning and I lost 3.5lb this week.  Not bad, considering I didn't really start back on program til Wednesday of this week....old habits die hard and just had to wait til "after the holidays" to start again...LOL.  When I weighed in last week, I had gained 7.5lb over the past 3 weeks, so this is a start to getting that back off and continuing on this journey. Gonna try to really improve my negative thinking in the New Year and see myself as a success, rather than a failure!  My goal is 50lb this year...won't get me to my goal weight but will certainly be a step in the right direction.  I have also signed up for a water aerobics class that will start in a couple of weeks.  My knees prevent me from doing a lot of walking, but figure this will be easier on the old joints. It helps me to stay accountable so will try and track my weekly losses here also. Sherrie

Congrats!  I WI tomorrow (not looking forward to all the newbies, LOL) and would love to register a 3.5 loss.  Best of luck in the water classes!

WOW....was just reading a little of your profile.  CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss!  How long has it taken you with WW?  I am sooo proud of you.  Did you do a lot of exercising too?  Right now I'm having severe knee problems and can't do much walking but have signed up for a water aerobics class.  I know this can work for me too.  It's so encouraging to hear such a success story.  I am way to scared for WLS....figure if I can't stick to WW restrictions, how the heck am I ever gonna live with the food restrictions of WLS?  So glad to know you've done so well.  I love all the rewards you planned for yourself too...what a great idea.  I have a lady in my group who lost 150lb (took her 5 years), but she has maintained it for two now and comes every single week! Enjoy 2008 with your new body!!! Sherrie

OMG, thank you!   I started WW almost three years ago (April 2005).  I lost just a little bit before starting out -- about 12 lbs just by adding regular exercise.  I lost most of the weight on the Flex Plan but I hit a snag at 21 points, so I switched to Core and am losing again. I worked my way up to five/six days of workouts with Curves and five mornings of workouts with Turbo Jam.  My DH bought P90X and I am thinking about starting it with him. I forgot to mention this in my profile, but my DH bought me a gold necklace with a purse pendant.  t keeps me thinking about my goal (WW calls this anchoring). Thanks again for your well wishes and best of success on the Program! Des

I just started Weigh****chers myslef, it was hard for me last week to committ , but this week I will be back on track. I have cardio trainning three days a week, and i will begin trainig for a marathon soon so that will definitely get the weight off.  Do  we have a Weigh****chers support group, if not can we start one.

I'm kind of new here, but I'm not aware of a WW support group here.  I think there are several people on this board doing WW...would be a good idea. I have to ask...you just had surgery a week ago and you're on WW?  and training for a marathon?  Guess I don't associate that as a combination for a new post op patient.   Good luck to you on both endeavors!

No, My surgery was cancelled, I have to wait another year or so. So I figured the marathon, and WW would be good support, and motivation for me. My boyfriend and I are training together, even though I am overweight I am very strong phsyically and I am somewhat athletic. I just have a hard time getting this weight off, so I thought both combine will help out alot.

Good for you!  Good luck to you in attaining your goals...who knows, maybe you won't even need the surgery!!  Wish my old knees would let me exercise more.
