Weekend! How you gonna stay on track? and how about a week in review?
Hello Guise
I am off today, last three day weekend before school gets back in session. It is blustery, more storm than I have ever seen here in our area! It may snow this afternoon - we are at 500 feet - it is already blizzard-y at 1200 +
So, today, it will be lucky if I get some yoga in. I feel like a cold is coming on, so may take today off with little guilt. My exercise week was extra good - lots of yoga, some floor calisthentics, lots of hill-walks. Had two marathon-length walks one on NY Eve (3 hours), the other Sunday (2.5 hours).
My food this work week was great. Lots of veggies, home made soups, lean meats, etc.
The only off plan day was NY Day, and actually, I did pretty well. DH made some clam dip - so i did dive into that when I was too hungry to trust myself. Ate two servings of potato chips with dip long story short. However, the rest of the day was very good:
B: frozen cherries+blueberries+raspberries+ctivia yogurt+two small sourdough toasts+1c nf milk
L: ww pita pocket with mustartd and 1 ounce lean beef+1ounce alpine lace
chips incident after our short walk
S: my version of Hoppin John, made with fresh blackeye peas (look in your produce section - recipe on box) - a southern tradition on NY Day for good luck. I added only two thin smoked pork chops for a bit of meat, but otherwise it was full of fresh peas, onions, carrots, celery, kale in place of collards. We did have cornbread with it, mine was with a scant bit of butter, real maple syrup.
NYE: I was very good: stuck to the homestyle lean meat chili, teriyaki drummies,a layered greek dip I made with baked pita chips.I will give the recipe for that - awesome! Ok, i did drink 8 light beers, two shots of tequila. Over a 6 hour period, not that bad, but was plenty high, lemme say. Woke up a teeeny weeeny bit hungover, but mostly from not drinking enough water before bed i am sure.
THIS weekend:
Rain all weekend, but i will at least do a giant walk on Sunday, a shorter one Sat. Some ball calisthentics.
Food: Started out last night very well: baked crisp chicken1/2 large breast, small amount of mac and cheese - gourmet, sauteed zuc/sweet onions. I did indulge in a handful of candied almonds, 1 small glass of home made eggnog. I ate very littel all day yesterday, had a busy work day.
Tonight: ? i vote sushi, but if it's too stormy, that is out.
okay, spill you guise!

Hmm let's see. The week was filled with lots of booze lol. Also with a few workouts from Turbo Jam. Past couple of nights I have eaten some Goulash. Last night I over ate and had some pizza rolls..I shoulda just went to bed when I got home lol. I am not too worried about it tho. Anyways.....The weekend duh duh duh!!!!
Today:
Um Breakfast.....Phentermine lol.
Lunch: Like a quarter of my protein shake I just couldn't take it..it tasted ab****ely nasty.
Dinner tonight...uh not sure. Something quick tho I need to go home and get ready I am going to the movies with the girls since we didn't do anything yesterday we're going to go see P.S. I Love You. Then Glow-Bowling....eh 10pm - 2am I am not gonna bowl but chill with everyone and probably leave at midnight I am tired today. I usually am on Fridays.
Saturday:
I am probably going to clean my apartment to spick and span for like 3 hours to burn some energy. Before doing that tho I might actually drive my ass to the gym and work out for a half an hour or an hour depending on how I feel when I get there. I miss the elliptical machine it is calling my name to come back to it :) I wish I had my own....
As for food.... Saturdays I usually go out to dinner with the boyfriend...so whereever we go I will eat. And then uhm....who knows??
Sunday:
Might hit the gym up again. Uhm then who knows? I live a boring life lol. But I will stay on track :)
I can't remember what I ate this week up until yesterday. Though all week I had been thinking about getting back to the grind.
At this point I'm not going to spend the time listing what I ate because I'm not keeping track of it.. But I am keeping track of how I feel.
This morning I was extremely hungry because I skipped breakfast. Normally don't feel this way because I'm still full from the night before.. But last night I didn't eat as much meat. I ate more veggies instead.I went to bed and laid on my stomach without pain. I slept wonderfully and awoke fully refreshed. I ended up eating a brownie cuz I couldn't handle the hunger. I ate a sensibly sized lunch and though I was still hungry when I finished I forced myself not to order more. Now I feel satisifed. No doubt I will be very hungry by 4pm.
Don't know what's going on for dinner (Sushi sounds wonderful!) but I plan to do the same as I did last night. Drink lotsa water with dinner and be sure fill up on green veggies rather than meat. The same goes for this weekend.. Maintain my water intake and try to choose smaller portions. Saturday night I'm going to the Monster Truck Winter Finals. I plan to have my energy drink then. They usually make me feel full (and hyper!). Should be able to bypass the hot dogs and stuff.
Gotten down about 30-40 ounces of water today. Great start.
I am off tracking for now, too. I feel strongly about it if a person has never done it, just to know what you typically eat. I did for many years.
The bariatric foods all day at work keep that part easier...all i have to do is think what/when and add it up in my head. I track it all in my head all day long.

The rice???? Very few people have issues with the rice. You should go back and try it again. Order something basic like tuna. (Maguro) If you like soy sauce then dip in there. That'll help the consistency of the rice. If you're not feeling so brave then start out with Ebi (shrimp). IMO it's bland but a lot of ppl really like it. I started with tuna and salmon and developed a taste for it from there. I do have to be in the mood for su****hough. It's not something I can just go eat out of the blue. I'm feeling the mood for it tonight though!! Too bad my favorite joint closed down.. :( I'll have to venture further out to get some more good sushi.. perhaps Fuse Box or Monsoon for dinner... That way I can have some thai with a side of sushi.. NAH.. Full on sushi! Mm I love mackerel and red snapper. good stuff too! Oh oh and then there's smelt roe! MMMMMM!
Here's a good site to familiarize yourself with the different types of sushi.

I remember I was with my mother and we order a few different ones. Tuna being one, a shrimp one...a crab one ofcourse that was fine because it was cooked but still the rice was KILLING me lol. Its the rice I tell you!!!! I can't get it down at all. Its too sticky. I even did BBQ Eel...OMG ewww it was slimy...I am big on texture sometimes...
I took baby steps with the sushi - like you I wanted to be cool - LOL My DH LOVES fish, and i am proud to report i do too now. HAS to be fresh an dnot even smell fishy..
You guys must have california rolls - right: cooked crab, avocado wrapped in rice. That is all i would eat for years! You take a splash of soy sauce, mix in a bit of wasabi, swirl it around, then dip the sushi.
Then, I went to cooked shrimp ones plus CA rolls. Now I will eat raw tuna, raw salmon. I will eat sashimi too. In fact, those black sesame seeds are the shizzy as the outside wrap. To this day, i kind of still hate the seaweed wrapper stuff they use.
EEL....never. Sorry, DH, there is a line here.
Have you ever tried Tuna Tataki? It's lightly seared then cut and seasoned. I like the Tuna Tataki! It's OHHH so yummmy!! Here's a pic of it below! We ended up not going out for su****he place was packed and there was no parking so we ended up settling for Zaxby's. Can't go wrong with chicken wings!! Well I can.. Cuz I ate 10 of the things and some onion petals.. bah!! oh well. At least I'm getting my water down! Doing great there!
