Hi All,
I've just registered and hope to find others who are attempting the Total Food Replacement diet called Lipotrim. Im based in Ireland and have just started this diet and Im on day 3. Im Soooo hungry. I really need some support and encouragement.

Im in two minds with diet? I know it works and I've seen this first hand, but I feel so dreadful on it. I've been told it takes 3 -4 days before you start feeling less hungry and uncomfortable. I sure hope this is correct, I cannot see myself succeeding on 3 milkshakes a day (300mls). At this stage my mind keeps telling me the better option would be weigh****chers. The problem is.... I have this little voice in my head constantly at me about failing and doubting my every move. I need help!! I don't want to fail again......

IMEO, significant calorie restriction is not the best option for weight loss. Moderate restriction and exercise are.  You should never feel hunger--if you do, it's too late.  You need to eat 5-6x a day, and between 300-500 calories less than your BMR (if you exercise, you need to incorporate the exercise into your caloric needs)--eg if you're BMR is 2100 and you burn an additional 1000 calories, you should eat about 2600 calories to lose weight.  This will protect your metabolism.

Thanks for the info, I do appreciate it. My metabolism is vertially non existant as it is. I have a Thyroid problem that hampers my weight loss. This is the main reason I went on this diet, to get that kick start and get to a point where walking and exercises is possible. My plan is to very slowly refeed off this programme,  and then follow weigh****chers. I can tell you, at this stage I'll never complain about small portions or restricted diets again. It would be a pleasure to eat just a carrot!!  Thanks for your valuable info.

I do wish you well.  The problem for many is that the kick start ends up costing them in terms of their metabolism.  We're all so eager to lose fast that we do it the wrong way. The reason most people yo yo is not from returning to bad habits, but because they went to low cal and that changed their metabolism. BTDT.  I wasn't losing on 1000 calories.  I retrained my metabolism by eating the right calories, then worked down from there. It's an arduous process, but works.

Don't be fooled by scam diets, VLCDs, or supplements.  They all prey on  your desire and not on what they accomplish.  Any losses will become unfortunate regains given what they do to the body.

Wow, if you can make it through one day of that stuff then you can surely make it through a lifetime of weigh****chers!!  I've never been a big fan of these types of diets. Simply because it's not sustainable.  Albeit, it is a great way to kick off the weight loss and shrink your stomach but if you aren't able to come off it and eat healthily then it has done nothing but waste your money.  I recommend you continue on it. The weight loss you receive will be extremely motivating. While you are going on with this kick-start diet plan start learning more about WW and go that route for your life-plan after you get through with this.  As you learn more about WW and if it seems more appealing then switch to that. WW is a great well rounded and balanced nutrition plan!

Hi Chris, Thanks for that :) Yes that is my reason for starting Lipotrim , I want to kick start my body into fat burning mode. Then the plan is to refeed very slowly and responsibly.  Weigh****chers is the ultimate goal for lifestyle change. This diet is very extreme and oh so difficult. Im surprised I've made it through this 3rd day. My body is screaming for food!   I will continue with Lipotrim for as much as i can possibly bear. Its proving to be even more difficult because my family eat around me as normal. I can smell all sorts of delicious food at the moment and its killing me !! Take Care Tess

Be patient deary.  I was on a similar (5 shakes plus a "special" snack bar) for the kickstart effect.  It did work and I lost 30-35 lbs in 3 months.  However once I slowly re-fed (adding one low fat, lean meat, low carb, high veggie meal a wee****il I was at 5 small meals a day) and from then on 1st phase of South Beach) for the next three months I lost the same amount of weight. When I first started on the shakes it was hard....however after several days the hunger did go away as my body fell into a state of ketosis (not to be confused with diabetic issue)....nothing to take lightly though..... Oh, and another thought....remove yourself from all food situations especially preparation.  Consider your intake as medicine/sustenance instead of a poor excuse for a meal and it won't seem like a "diet"...... DRINK LOTS OF WATER
