Try lightly greasing a cookie sheet.  Preheat oven to 350.  Cut it in half and put the cut side down on the cookie sheet.  Cook it for about 30 minutes.  Let it sit for a couple of minutes and scoop it out! :)

THink I'll make mine tonight too! Not sure if I bought that or butternut squash..lol now I'm gonna have to go look!!

Hopefully this will work for you.

My best method is to slice lengthwise (always lentghwise, this is how the strands grow!), take out seeds, lay face down in a pan-sparyed glass pan with about 1/2 - 3/4 c water, then oven bake (350 or so?) til water is gone and squash is fork tender.  Let cool slightly, then use a fork to pull out strands - always going length wise! Lighlty salt and pepper, eat! I will admit that microwavce method is not bad either:  again, slice length wise, de-seed. wrap in saran wrap ( i know, i know, the poisonous saran wrap in the microwave, but sorry, been doing it for many years this way), then cook for about 8 minutes - check.  May need a few more minutes.

The one I t hrew out yesterday I had cut in half and thought that's all there is?  And I don't think I cooked it long enough.  Will give one more try, thanks to all you folks.

Once you have baked it and scooped it out: 1. Add some butter, about 2 tbsp to a NONSTICK pan. 2. Chop a whole onion real thin and add it to the pot. Saute until almost translucent. 3. Take half of the spaghetti squash, add to pan.  4. Add salt, lotta pepper, and garlic/onion powder. 5. Coo****il the texture is to your liking.  I usually cook it until its goes from light yellow to a medium yellow.... it has a bit of carmelization to it. Its a lil cripsy not alot. It still taste undone after it has been baked to me... This is a good breakfast item cause it taste like hashbrowns.. It will go good with any meal though. It also taste great with ketchup, and a nice substitute for pasta in hamburger helper stroganoff! -Bud

If you don't have time to cook it in the oven it can be done in the microwave also.  You cut it in half lengthwise, take out the seeds, wrap in saran wrap (it holds the moisture in as it cooks) and cook it in 5 minute increments until it is ready.  It's ready when you can take a fork, scrape the squash and it comes up in spaghetti strings
