Haven't weighed in for two weeks

This morning I finally got off my butt and went to weigh in at WW.  I have had such a nasty bug I haven't been up too it.  I did real lousy this holiday so I thought I gained a few pounds.  I ended up losing a pound!  So I'm just thrilled with it.  I have been on WW for a month now and have lost five pounds from it.  I've noticed when I eat regular foods and not a low cal diet I lose soooo slowly.

  Oh well... I keep thinking my regular doctor told me just to concentrate on losing one pound a week...that's it.  He did this and he is so thin now.  Of course he changed the way he eats, but I liked the concept.  ONE pound is nothing if you really think about it.  It makes it so much easier to look at when you have so much to lose.

Hi Holly...congratulations!  I went and weighed in at WW yesterday too, only didn't have such good results....I hadn't weighed in in about 3 weeks and ended up gaining 7 lb!!!!  It put me in a lousy mood all day long.  I joined last April and lost 30lb and then didn't go for about 7 weeks in the fall and gained back 13....had gotten off 7 of those and now managed to put them back on.  I have to wait til April to get into the information seminar here with the most popular bariatric surgeon.  (I don't think I want WLS anyway, so don't mind waiting).  In the meantime I'm gonna really stick with my points with WW and see how much of this weight I can get off.  Any time I think it's just too hard or I'm tempted, I'm gonna remember what I would be eating if I'd had the surgery!! By the way....how do you get the weight ticker tracker to work on this site?  I went to the ticker tracker site and made one up, but can't figure out how to put it on here...not too computer literate...LOL. Keep up the good work...maybe we can get this weight off with WW together!  I'm at 279.5 right now and want to make it to 190!! Sherrie

Holly, dont beat yourself up, i been going through some rough weeks myself , last i went for my weigh in i gained 1 and a half lbs, i been trying so hard to get back on track, i weigh in right after the first, iam sure  i gained a lil again, man!  these holidays are killers when trying to lose . I just dont want to mess up the 53 lbs i have lost, seems like iam going in the wrong direction LOL!  hun? I want to lose not gain, I thought about trying that ALI Stuff. Dont know much about it, or would that be cheating? and me going to WW to? LOL  Your doing great you keep up the good work a lb a week is really good,  Delilah

yup, yup!  one pound down each week...that is so perfect.  it represents meaningful loss, too - weight that has a chance to stay off.  Fatser than that, indicates that we have not really learned much for the long haul. all year long = 52 pound loss! AND not a painful loss...you should not even notice the effort.
