let the eating STOP!

Yes!  I, for one, am actually sick of eating!  I had a very good time, though, and was selective about what I ate, only the best. Tonight I take DD's to Jesus Christ Superstar, and out to supper, but i warned them, I am wanting a multi-choice place! My best purchased present so far:  Rolling Stones box set from Costco!!!!!  My grandsons were like little perfect kids this season, just full of wonder and awe.  All of our kids got to spend time with us, we are so blessed - and spoiled - to have them in town with us. We had a bunch of friends over Sunday for an open house, and everybody was very hyper and laughter shook the walls. I am feeling so blessed.  Hope you all had a similar experience!

Hey Neecee!  Glad your Christmas went so well.  Mine was alright.  I think I ate to the best of my ability.  I only had 2 ravioli, no meat.  I did have one large bowl of soup, but I behaved myself on the antipasta and only had 2 small canoli's.  I did have a piece of cheesecake for breakfast, though... Whoops...  I have to say that my presents were a little disappointing. Yes I'm grateful that I even got a present, blah blah blah, but let's be serious here: I'm used to getting spoiled on Christmas and this year, I just didn't.  The only thing I got was to watch my older sister get spoiled.  My parents apologized - they felt bad.  I don't think they realized how badly I got stiffed until we were distributing out the presents and everyone got over 15 boxes and I got only 4.  It made me sad.  Definitely felt left out.  But, I didn't eat my way through it.  I just went upstairs to my room and watched some TV.  So yay me.  Usually, I'd hang out in the kitchen and stuff my face with whatever's lying around.  I haven't weighed myself in over a week.  I'm sorta scared to. And I see my surgeon on January 7th, so I'm nervous that I'll make her upset if my weight isn't low enough for her standards.  Whatever... I'll know when I get there.

That is a trip!  Were your present worth more?  of course, you must have been over that in your mind.  Having two girls so close in age, i always make sure i spend the equivalent on each of them! I hope your parents were usually conscientious about it and this was merely a fluke' geez, it would make me feel bad, too.

Hi! Hope everyone's Christmas was wonderful! My daughter gave me 5 lbs of amaretto flavored coffee beans and a little coffee grinder.  I've been grinding my way through pot after pot!  I bought myself a pair of fingerless leather gloves from the Biker's Den. Christmas dinner was lasagne for my daughter and her bf and Jon had a whole rib eye with broccoli and I had 1/2 a steak with a little broccoli.. so eating wasn't a problem.  We managed to forego the traditional turkey, ham, manicotti, huge antipasto, clams oreganato, deviled eggs, pepperoni and provolone w/black olive appetizers.. LOL   There was no canoli, no rabe ricotta, not a pignoli to be found at my table, no pizza fritta w/powdered sugar.. LOL   No ziti, gnochi, tortellini and DEFINITELY NO stuffed shells!  LOL  It was grand.. simple.. and as a reward, I got on the scale to a loss. I was actually more worried about the week before that I spent out in Iowa.  I had a couple of shots of tequila and a couple of stoli kami kazes.  I sweated bullets until I got back and saw that I did in fact lose 9 lbs while I was out there. I sent lasage and about 50 meatballs to my xhub's office for his party and I ate 1 meatball while I was making it all.  Now I KNEW I wouldn't get through this holiday without a meatball somewhere. Ok, back to serious..  I'm saving all my carbs for when I go back out to Iowa in March or April and I'm gonna spend 'em all on a bottle of Pinot Griggio. ..... and the beat goes on! Lori 310/242/180

I've never really known any other way so I'm sure we'd find the fare quite strange in the homes of others.  Thanksgiving was done much the same except there'd be a turkey w/mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and gravy buried somewhere on that table.

I gave my OCD-addled ass a day off and ate like a moron for sport for a day-- was fun! Included Chex Mix and a slice of a Mrs. Prindable's apple, and sf  tapioca, a slice of white pizza, smoked cheese and crackers-- close to 1100 calories-- but nope, I didn't die.

Today: a protein smoothie with a banana. Back on the wagon!

Yesterday was good for me. I did eat alot more than usual but still lost. I received alot of gifts from my parents and brothers which was nice :) My fave gift was my new crockpot I can't wait to cook something in it!!! Yummo!. Oh and I also received a $25 gift certificate to Electric Chair Tattoo!!! Yay! Because I am getting a tattoo on my foot soon. As for eating, Breakfast consisted of 1 egg scrambled with 1 slice of cheese on it and 1 sausage link and a cup of coffee with lots of sugar and cream. While everyone ate waffles drowned in syrup and sausage lol. Then thru out the day I did have 3 Lindt Truffles....I swear 8 buckeyes I couldn't help it. I had another sweet thing too it was something my mother baked. For dinner I had like 2 bites of ham, half of a roll with I cant believe its not butter, a good helping of cheesy potatoes, and a good helping of green bean casserole, a deviled egg, and some cottage cheese. Yea and I thought I was gonna gain! lol. I did do my workout tho last night and I ate everything before 7pm and didnt eat anything after that.  But my Christmas was great!

Sounds like everyone enjoyed themselves! Christmas was great for me. I started the day with a 3 mile walk. I ate eggplant w/ marinara & cheese, collard greens, ham, turkey, rolls, spaghetti squash, mac & cheese, a thin slice of lemon cake, 2 Smart Ones Double Chocolate cake, SF pudding & Cool Whip, and I had some Hershey candies . Then I did another 2 mile walk to end the day.  I got a digital camera, some World Finest Chocolate Sugar Free Chocolate Covered Almonds, and some piano stuff. All in all, it was very nice.  Today, I haven't ate anything yet, just drinking tons of liquids. I started the day off with another 3 mile walk, and I am contemplating 45 mins on the treadmill.. I'm happy! -Bud
