Please accept my condolences for your loss. I self-medicated with food for a very long time after losing my mother -- and I was already quite heavy. I am hoping that you will wake up each day with the resolve that just for today, you will not binge or cultivate any self-destructive habits.
My prayers are with you. I'm not going to give you my experience with loss but what I try to use that works for me. Maybe it will help you. I do try to make time for some activity, even if it's a 10-20 minute walk, jog, bike ride-anything really. It helps the spirit, gets the blood pumping and nudges the metabolism. Often when I'm struggling I take a walk and put on headphones with spiritual sounds or music and/or pray. It helps me clear my mind and get focused. It is so difficult to deal with the basics when this happens and I feel for you as I am extremely close to my small family and have experienced losses over the years. You sound like a very strong person and will make it through this with prayers and love (from all of us!)
Another thing. You've already accomplished so much with your weight!!! That is amazing. Even if you don't lose anything for a few months and you maintain, you are ahead of the game. Over the long haul we eventually get to a point where we have to start maintaining so if you can master that you are a major success!!!
Like I said, much love and prayers to you.
