I think I'm all grown up now
Good for you!
It was a big moment (and maybe a slightly sad moment) when I realised that once I reached my goal it wouldn't magically end there. It totally changed my perception of how I lived my life since then.
If I really like a rich food, I enjoy it in moderation. I choose to live a life that gives me a healthy, happy body. As time has passed there are some food that I don't even enjoy anymore- like donuts- I honestly couldn't eat one and enjoy the taste. My tastes changed.
Just as Donna said, if it doesn't taste as good as expected I don't even bother eating it. I agree with what you said- you are accountable for everything you put in your mouth.
Just as Neece says- '3 bites' . My version is that the second one tastes the same as the first.
The good news is that in time your new lifestyle will become second nature to you. I hope like many of us you come to LIKE that lifestyle.
As for growing up... yep... I too realised it was time to own my choices and not expect anyone else to come shake their finger at me while I made bad health choices.
I had to shake my finger at myself, I had to be my own mother!
