Rochers!!!!!!!! I had some over Thanksgiving holiday. It was so unnsatisfying because I had like a 3 pack. Wallywerld has like 12 of them for 2.97. I was tempted to get them, but it can wait.
Another good one is those damn Hershey with Almond Kisses.. I swear the Hershey guy knew what the hell he was doing when he made those. I cannot stop eating those if I see them.
Em.. to answer your question.. I eat some of them, throw/give them away. Alot of times I leave them at work because the minute they come into the house, they don't stand a fighting change. I do freeze them when I am at my parents house. I have alot of crap at my mom's house in the deep freezer I have opened....Girl scout cookies, school sold candies and cookie doughs. Its best if they stay there because they start things that can't be stopped.
Neecee you're talking my language... nothing like recycling a perfectly lovely gift to a more worthy cause.
The bit I like about the gifts is the card... I love the personal messages of gratitude and thanks for my efforts with the students. It's what keeps me teaching- I keep the really touching ones in my diary and read them when I feel like chucking teaching in (interview time usually!)

I save all cards, too, for that very reason...just to get the feel-good when the chips are down.
I like to have small gifts for hostesses of parties I will go to, or if someone stops by and I just want to give them a little something.
I am blessed to have so many give to me now and all year. That is the real blessing.
