This will be my last post directed to you in any form, so enjoy it. You responded to many more posts after mine, so your comment about not being online doesn't fly  But oh well. I lost it in a year.  Reasonable or not it came off because I worked hard at it, damn hard.  Most of the people on his board know me and realize what I've put into this journey.  I have said a number of times that if it works because it works, work it.  It doesn't matter how it came off, it matters that it's stayed off.  For you to presume to imply that I did it in an unhealthy manner is insulting.  But I'll consider the source.

I am with you Donna. I can't post anything towards her anymore. It's a waste. This board is supposed to be helpful not a preach.  And I look up to you Donna for losing all of that weight..and in a healthy way! :) I'll get there one day. I know I will.

Seems what you deem helpful is coddling.   Look we will all stumble, get emotional, etc.  But if I let you stay stuck in a rut, just because it makes you feel better to be coddled doesn't mean I'm being helpful to you.

C'mon now, sister. The women and men of this board deserve better than your high-fallutin' attitude.  You've lost 22 pounds, and now you have The Light and The Way? Hell, pre-op, I could do that by taking a fweakin' dump. This doesn't make you Nostradamus-- it just makes your ranting sound seriously Jack LaLame. Lose it all. Keep it off for years. Then come tell these hardworking people all about your superiority. But for right now, you're just another foot soldier who's very early on in a lifelong war-- so you might want to keep your butt down so they don't shoot it off.

Christa, I've said it before and I'll say it again. You are beautiful, you will find your way.  I wish I could share, package even, what helped me to succeed.  If I could I would give it away for everyone that ever struggled with their weight.  Don't get me wrong, I still have my moments.  But I am a weight loss survivor, and I wish that upon all of you guys. Why be mad at me?  I'm just saying there's a healthy way to lose and an unhealthy way, and if your intake was too low, even if you got the weight off, it will do more harm than good in the long run.  I don't doubt this information and can only think that those who do feel they must live a certain way to achieve and maintain they're goal--they've just bought into misinformation. I don't negate the success or the effort.  I don't know your specifics to determine whether it was healthfully done or not.  Long story short, if your calories were no more than 300-500 below your BMR at the time and you exercised intensely, you did it well, if you did, great.  If you didn't, I wish someone had given you that information as I had been given it.  It would make the road to weight loss and maintenance that much easier, that's all. I really don't know which post you're referring to.  I was on sporadically this morning and it appears that posts on this board aren't sequential (as in placed chronologically) but rather to the specific post desired.  If I missed one of yours, maybe it was stuck in the middle and I missed it?

Healthy Way= method that works FOR YOU, suits your lifestyle, and maintains your health. There's more than one of these. If you truly had The Answer, you'd be too busy counting your millions to type.

Hmmm, Jerz, wonder what you would say about a SIL of mine - now we both fully realize how "unsafe" this method is: 20 years ago, Shirley lost all her baby weight (~80) in about 7-8 months.  How?  She took one sleeve of saltines and two containers of yogurt to work to eat over the course of the day, drank only water and ran as much as she could with a new baby and a full time job would allow.  that was 20 years ago. Shirley has never gained any of that weight  back. When the scale goes up 5#, she grabs herself a sleeve of saltines, and hoo boy, there we go again til weight's all gone.  Now why would my fat@ss or anyone's fat@ss even question that success? The end does justify the means most of the time when it comes to weight loss.  Any person who is 100 # plus overweight is taking a big chance every day that weight stay on with health risks. Sure, Shirley risked gall bladder removal, I'll take that any day over flirting with diabetes, heart failure, knee/joint destruction, stroke, plebitis. I am appalled that you would even *go there* with Donna on how unsafe her actions were! You cannot even touch her hem on this one.
