Motivation!
Thought about motivation this morning during training.
We were doing an arm movement with weights and how he had me positioned, well I hated what I could see in the mirror. I focused on the flaws (bad jerseygirl). But when I stood up and saw how my "fitted new workout shirt" I bought 6 weeks ago was loose everywhere, it motivated me to plow through the drill, especially the woodchippers which were killing my obliques....
IOW, I look at what's changed and say "Please sir, can I have another".
I am feeling motivated not to binge eat or be slack thanks to a blouse too Bren.
I found some nice 1/2 price ones in a size smaller than I usually wear. My friend insisted I try them on and guess what? They FIT! Not saying my butt would fit that size, but the top did!
Then, I went to a designer discount shop and bought a new top for $20- regular price is $175! That motivates me to stay in this size- I love that top!
This motivation helps me to be strict and careful at this time of the year when there are so many end of year parties offering nibbles and tasty bits. I really pick and choose what treats I eat- I save my luxuries for quality homemade goodies like fruitcake and shortbread in small quantities. I also stay mindful of liquid calories- especially living here where we are heading into summer.
My aim- not to gain over the Christmas break.
