Okay, folks.  The posts lately sound gloomy!   Let's not give up.  Find something out there in the world to get you motivated. I just bought a blouse that "fits kinda snug", but it was on sale and I love it!  I'm pumped up now to get off the pitty wagon and get to losing to fit in it better.  There are so many sales out there now, find something you like that is inexpensive, but snug. We have less than 4 weeks till Christmas.  We can shed at least ONE pound (or more) before then.   Come on folks, let's do it! Your friendly cheerleader in weight loss (LOL),  Bren

Sounds like a plan to me.  I'm with you!

I actually did buy a fall top on sale over the weekend that is sort of snug on purpose.  I have been on track this week with my exercising and eating.  I need to take that, there's no stopping me now attitude.

Hooray for Bren the cheerleader!!! Me Too  Brenda

Hey Bren, My motivation is to be at the top of my game by December 19 for my next and hopefully last round of Plastic Surgery.  I have a few areas that I know I need to change, and I have already started to do so. I truly think we just need to look closely at ourselves and really take accountability for where we KNOW we are screwing up.  For me this week I am upping my water (100 ounces today already) and cutting out the carbs, yes even the whole wheat ones, at night. I pretty much have other things under control, it's just a matter of keeping on tweaking it. I sign on for losing ONE POUND this month. hehe  You know, we laugh, but there have been months where I didn't lose ONE POUND!!

Thought about motivation this morning during training.

We were doing an arm movement with weights and how he had me positioned, well I hated what I could see in the mirror.  I focused on the flaws (bad jerseygirl).  But when I stood up and saw how my "fitted new workout shirt" I bought 6 weeks ago was loose everywhere, it motivated me to plow through the drill, especially the woodchippers which were killing my obliques....

IOW, I look at what's changed and say "Please sir, can I have another".

Rah rah sis boom bah...fat girls, fat girls...rah rah rah. Shopping is still sort of depressing for me at this point, but I have enough old t-shirts sitting around at this point...those should do the trick. I wonder why I kept them around? I think I used to expect divine intervention...

I'm going to loose at least 1... hopefully MORE :) I had gained 2 at Thanksgiving but got right back down to 196 so I'm really hopefull that I'll get down closer to 190 by Christmas :)   Hope! hope! Hope!

I am feeling motivated not to binge eat or be slack thanks to a blouse too Bren.

I found some nice 1/2 price ones in a size smaller than I usually wear. My friend insisted I try them on and guess what? They FIT!  Not saying my butt would fit that size, but the top did!

Then, I went to a designer discount shop and bought a new top for $20- regular price is $175! That motivates me to stay in this size- I love that top!

This motivation helps me to be strict and careful at this time of the year when there are so many end of year parties offering nibbles and tasty bits.  I really pick and choose what treats I eat- I save my luxuries for quality homemade goodies like fruitcake and shortbread in small quantities. I also stay mindful of liquid calories- especially living here where we are heading into summer.

My aim- not to gain over the Christmas break.
