is anyone else here taking the phendamitrazine? and any females can relate to this?   the phen is making me super hyper when i take all 3 (i even am getting a slight headache..just enough to slightly bother me...w/ tylenol it's okay) i usuaully only take 2 one at breakfast and one at lunch..very rarely at dinner...and i just had a baby almost 4 months ago..so i'm still slightly off schedule with female stuff...last week, i lost 2 more pounds this week i gained 1 lb didn't change anything...only exercise...i started jogging (a whole mile!!! in just under 16 min! i've never been able to do that!! not even in high school!!!) .the wlclinic said that b/c of that the muscles could have become swollen due to using muscles not used to being used...but i just don't know. and with female stuff not regular that too is part of it! i am just frustrated now. i was happy and i'm just not losing like i was...(i lost 6 lbs the first week of going to the wlclinic). just wanted to know if anyone else had the same stuff and what they did to help them through this.

i wish i could get on here more often i really like this site! it's always so positive and motivational! thanks for taking the time for this and talk to ya soon!!

one suggestion i've always seen for when you are frustrated and feel stalled is to also track your measurements. then you can see that even if you haven't lost any pounds in a couple weeks, you have lost inches. meaning, you weren't really stalled. it keeps showing you loss and gives encouragement.

Are you talking about "diet pills"? If so, I used to take them while going to a weight loss clinic years ago.  I lost a lot of weight, but guess what?  When I got off of them, I was ravenous--eating everything in sight.  Was starving! Needless to say, I gained all of my weight back in a short amount of time.  And all the money I spent on the clinic was for nothing. The headaches are caused by lack of water.  Push the fluids, and the headaches will go away. I suggest you try to do it on your own.  Just cut back, or use common sense in making your choices.  No more fast food, junk food, and limit your carbs and fats.  It works!  It may be slower than you would want, but it will work better in the long run. Good luck! Bren

I still use it - the 35 mg pills. I rarely take a whole pill... a half at a time works most days! I have never taken all three pills in one day, either.  i lost like crazy (well, for me - about 4-6 pounds in a month) for the first six months, then it slacked off. I'm lucky if i drop 2# in a month now. I have plateued, so it may be time to tweak things if i want to get serious about this last 20#. I am actually only ~10 pounds from the weight i see me sticking to - 170 - but being 160 at 64 inches tall would not be a bad thing. For me, the take away lesson is to use the lean high protein foods and fresh/frozen fruits & veggies to be most of my meals, then for supper, i eat a regular "normal meal", watching my portions.  The pills are losing their effectiveness for me after a year of occasional use, so look for what works for you in your modified diet plan.  The bariatric offcie you get them from must have given you a plan or 4 to choose from, right? just settle on one and see how you go. My guess for you is that you got it - hormones are raging here, so that may be working against you. be patient and cash in on the 'extra energy the pills give you - perhaps your exercise habit will get established easier. And, again, look for the diet pattern that fits your life - something you will stick to reasonably when you need to drop weight that creeps back.

I'm sort of like Bren on this one.  Been there, not sure what it was though, and it was many many years ago.  I'm sort of scared going on anything now.

I have my appt tomorrow with that one doctor.  I know they offer meds, and it's my choice to take them or not.  What has your guys experiences been with them?  If you took them do you wish you didn't?  Or do you really think they help you?  I'm sure things have changed since the last time I took them, but I really don't know what it is.  The doc did tell me a risk is of course death, so that right there makes me wonder if they are really safe.

Anyone else have thoughts or comments on this?  Looks like Sara could use some, and I know I could too since my appt is in the morning.
