Guess what!!!! :) :) BIG secret

At MY house!!!! I am so excited that I'm like FLOATING! (you'd think I'd lost 20 more pounds!- Which I WILL !!) Ohhhh... I feel like a kid I'm so excited about this!  My family has not been on a vacation since 1993. I'm not kidding! We took 3 of our kids (more kids came later:) and we went to Michigan for 3 weeks that summer. I***** our next son was born. Emerg c-section (no insurance- income to high for medical help) The kiddo wasn't well but it took till Oct 95 to find that he had to have open heart surgery- or he'd not live to see his dbl digit birthdays.  1997 we had another little boy & he had a heart condition as well- (sadly, we lost him shortly after birth )  Still had to recover from the many bills.  We decided to adopt a child. Had a big family meeting and ALL decided we wanted to set any vacations and such aside- we wanted this babe!  So, we had to SAVE to do that :) Long story- short. I flew to Tampa and picked up our baby girl in 2001.... we have not been ANYWHERE else but other small towns in Alaska (most often for ds heart clinics) We are going to DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!   We are REALLY GOING to DISNEYLAND!   We checked into the cost and it is going to take a chunk to get there & back... but we are GOING :) :) :)  I can't wait to see my children's FACES!   We're going to keep it all a big secret until Christmas morning- they will unwrap the gift (tickets!) together (we only have 2 kiddo's left at home- 13 & 6)   We are going to go to Disneyland, Universal Studio's,  Knottsberry Farm, sea World AND a ZOO!!!!!! My kids have never seen a real zoo! How much do you think I can LOOSE by MARCH 1st. ????    Do you think I can get rid of 30 pounds by then???  Ohhh I so hope so! I'm going to try SO HARD!   I think I'll pack my digi camera TONIGHT  LOL  Sorry! I know this is off topic but ohhhh... I am soooo excited and can't talk to anyone about it!!!  

oh my god!!!!  I'm soooo excited and happy for you!!!  btw--I was 8 when my parents took me and my older brother (who was 9) and my little brother (who was basically a wrinkly little pup) to disneyland. It was the most magical vacation I can remember and I think your kids are at the absolute perfect age to go!!!  it'll be something they never forget. you'll def. lose 30# by then.  i have complete confidence in you!!  

Wooohoo Disneyland!   Your so lucky!  Can you pack me in your suitcase if I get small enough to fit by then??ha  Talk about motivation!ha  Will you have to fly into Anchorage?  If so I would love to meet you!  I could bring my two lil ones and they can all hang out while we drink coffee in the airport.hehe  Well just let me know...cause I will be there if you have a long layover.   How exciting for you.  We've been talking about it, but like you..bills, bills, bills.  Are ya gonna go on a rollercoaster?hehe

And of course you can lose 30 pounds.  Are you ready for the tough love??hehe

Congrats on your family trip, hope your going to get thier opening the present Christmas morning on film, it will be priceless.

Oh, Mama, I'm so excited for you and your family.   Bet you can't keep it a secret till Christmas.  LOL     I'd be so excited, I just couldn't be quiet and still.  The kiddos would definately find out with my big mouth. And if you lose 30 lbs. great, and if you don't great.  You'll still have a wonderful time.  But the incentive will be there to help you along. Congratulations.  Very happy for you! Bren

Oh how WONDERFUL!!!!  I can tell you are 'over the moon' as I would be if it had been that long since I'd been on vacation, plus you get to take your youngest kids.  What great news.  That is sure to be one of the best Christmas presents for them.  You guys will have such a great time.  I got a chance to go to SeaWorld in Orlando in 2004 and all I can say is...YOU LUCKY, LUCKY, LADY.  It was such a good day. As for the 30 lbs...you can do it!  You've got the motivation to succeed.  Think of it as a major challenge. Melinda

That's so exciting! I've never been to Disneyland, but I've been to Disney World and it's the best.  I'm so glad that your family is able to go on a vacation. I'm sure your kids will be just as excited when they find out as you are now. As far as the 30 lbs, you go girl. I know you can lose that by the time you go. I have faith in you!
