Being accountable this week

Hi, hope everyone has had a good week!  I haven't been on lately, alot of things have been happening at home that needed attention.

I need help, lol I think this is going to be almost a repeat of two or three weeks ago.  But my weight is holding strong, or well..I just weighed myself and it might be up a few pounds but I don't weigh in until Friday.  Same old thing, I still can't get past 295.  I've been trying to get in my water.  Probably need to try harder.  It seems I get in 32 oz a day and then the rest of the day is coffee.  I would like to increase that to 64 oz, that's my goal for the week.

I'm still confused on my calorie intake.  I swear my metabolism is shot to hell since I went on medifast years ago.  Ever since then I can't eat nothing without gaining.  It almost seems that if I eat 1000-1200 calories a day I remain the same OR lose VERY slowly.  Slowly like in two pounds a month.  If I eat 1500 calories a day or more, I gain at least a pound a week.  Anyone have any suggestions on how to jump start my metabolism?  This has been going on forever and I'm really getting depressed over it.  I just look at a piece of something and I gain weight.

Any ideas?

maybe you should go see your dr and have a complete lab work up done. you might be low on some essential vitamins like B12 and iron. or, your thyroid could be acting up. my dr even checked my Estrogen level. said if that was out of wack then it would cause problems loosing weight.

Been there done that.  I am almost "prediabetic", but that's it. My thyroid is fine, etc.  I actually just made an appointment to see another doctor.  I'm not sure if I 'll be able to continue with him or not though.  I go in for orientation on Thursday and while I'm there they will find out if my insurance will cover them.  They have like four different diet plans to follow, one of them optifast.  I will NOT be doing that one.  I'll find out more on Thursday.  I think I need some kind of guidance for a while.  I'm just confused on why it's so hard for me to lose anymore.  I need some kind of reinforcement.  So I figure this doctor should know since he himself offers optifast which is like medifast.  I'm sure he has dealt with people on maintenance and I'm sure regain issues.  So hopefully he will be able to help me out!
