WHAT a gorgeous fall day in northern cali!!!! DH and i went for an 1.5 bike ride, with lots of stops. I also did some moderately strenuous wall washing, floor scrubbing for 30 minutes before that. Tomorrow a big bike ride for me. 2 hours plus. My food so far? B+. DH deep fried tempura shrimp & veggies, I ate one small plate, plus some sushi and coleslaw.  4 beers Today:  1.5 cup of steel cuts oats (including frozen blueberries) with 1 teas. sugar and 1 c nonfat milk. snack:  1/2 protein bar Lunch:  ham sandwich, with spinach and tomato.   cottage cheese on the side tonight:  fish tacos at a friends house. I will be drinking vodka and fresca. Tomorrow, making a pot of navy bean soup...cornbread for supper. I will start out with an egg sandwich with one soy sausage patty on it, no butter, plus a cup of nf milk.  Overview of the week: great with exercise. a 1.5 hour super fast walk on Tuesday was the highlight.  I did 2 days...TWO of my crunches and push ups. Walked all days, except Thursday morning - had to get to work early and had done too much Halloween night anyway. Food?  less success.  Candy on halloween, not a lot.  Supper that night was embarrassingly large. Tuesday night, also too big supper. Weekdays too low on food...so no shock that my suppers are huge.  I know i keep whining about that, gotta get a plan and get better at it.  How about YOU????

this weekend has been rather so-so for me. but, it's the weekend after my bday (thurs). my hubby made me a cheesecake for my bday (his cheesecake is soooooooooo good!). i've had a small piece every night. had the last piece last night. now that it's gone, i won't be cheating anymore :) i haven't eaten a ton of calories with my meals tho, so i think i made allowances for my bday treat. hubby and kids did take me out to lunch yesterday. it was very hard to find anything good to eat. i ended up munching just a little on the tortilla chips and queso he got as an appetizer and i had a grilled chicken caesar pita. so, not terrible. i avoided the fries that come with it by asking for corn instead. and i ended up not eating the corn even. exercise for this whole week has been off for me. i usually walk first thing in the morning after dropping the kids off at school. well, monday, my daughter was sick and i can't leave her home alone. so i didn't get to walk that morning. i planned on walking that afternoon when hubby got home, but forgot it was grocery day. also, now it is WAY too cold in the mornings to walk. so, i ended up walking tues afternoon instead of morning. wednesday i had a stomach bug so i didn't walk then. thurs i was getting over it still so didn't try walking then either. i planned on walking friday afternoon, but ended up having to be at home for the heating guys to come in and fix my furnace. so, my exercise for this week was just SHOT! i've got to sit down and really make a specific time to walk every day and just do it now if i'm not gonna walk in the mornings now. i was afraid of this happening. and now i'm facing it.
