Halloween is in like 5 days...well this weekend is one of my friends 21st birthday and she said bring your costume! I'm like AHH I have everything but something to wear for it. So I went shopping last night. I am going to be a Geisha since I can not find a geisha robe in time. I decided to make it my own and be a 2007 American Geisha Girl lol. Pants and a kimono shirt. I went to Lane Bryant....my bill 102.00 for a pair of pants and a shirt and some spanx. WTF!? So I am driving home and am like ok....seriously I dont need this stuff I can get a different shirt at DEBS for like 12 bux. So today I am going back and taking it all back...102 bux is ridiculous. Plus I will probably never wear that stuff again. The black pants were nice because LB has these new pants in jeans and what not that are call "RIght Fit" Well they are really nice I actually might buy some jeans when I go back today. They come in 3 different colors and do not have sizes like 22, 24, 14 they are numbered from 1-8. Anyways while trying on clothes....ugh I felt extremely huge. I was disgusted with myself. But my problem right now with pants....24's are too big....and some 22's fit...but some are way too tight! I always have that problem...but with the "right fit" jeans they're pretty close on being perfect lol.  But oh my point is....102 bux! for one outfit? Seriously? Anyone else find that uncalled for? lol

Hehe your funny, you ramble like me!ha  Yea, 102 bucks is a little expensive for just a Halloween gig.  I know a lot of people do it, but I'm like you, I would rather have something that I can wear after wards.  I love to shop also and am envious you got Lane Bryant.  :(  We are in lack of nice stores big time.  I've heard of those jeans from somewhere, not sure where though?!?!   I was thinking about giving it a shot and ordering some.  But my legs are so huge that I always like to try them on, so I'm a little scared if I should or not.    I can't wait to be able to order stuff and not have to worry if they will fit!  But yea, $102 bucks just for one day....go buy you a pair of pants instead.  Go to a thrift store of some kind and throw something together with twenty bucks.  Either that or get creative and find something at home.  I have a lot of leather stuff here so I just went as a punker last time I had to get dressed up.  Ended up costing me nothing.  Get creative!!

I agree, no way would I pay that.  Find something cheaper, you would look really cute as a gypsy and could do it yourself at home.  Get you a bandana, some big hoop earrings, cute pair of jeans with some jewelry and knock 'em dead.  The most important thing is to just HAVE FUN! Brenda

Just wear your regular clothes and tell them your costume is a nudist on strike.

Style presumes that you are a person of interest, that the world is a place of interest, that life is worth making the effort for.

A couple of years ago I had to dress up for work... I wore jammies, a robe, my slippers and curlers in my hair....  and carried a bowl of candy.  I was the lady at home waiting for trick or treaters.  LOL people were coming to my desk all day saying "trick or treat"   it was fun and cheap - only cost a couple bags of candy... WARNING - only buy candies you DO NOT LIKE
What I've eaten is here for the world to see

I hear ya!   While on my mini vacation earlier this month I bought the faux fur to make my daughter a CAT costume. That's ALL she wanted to be! --- A CAT!  And, it's not that she wouldn't have made a SUPERB CAT... but she is so tall and so skinny!  And she wanted to be a BLACK cat...  she is 100% PRINCESS!    I paid a chunk for all I'd need to make her a black cat (she's black already but we needed WARMTH so leotards would NOT do! (we have to trick-or-treat in possible SNOW... brrrrrr!) We got home from the trip and the real princess emerged!    She wanted to be a PRINCESS!  But she has been a "pretty witch" (i.e. pretty Autumn witch)  for 2 years.   Turned out- she wanted to be a BRIDE.  So off to the (online) store I went LOL She will be a bride LOL I wish I could RETURN what I bought :(      But if I was YOU... I'd return and by me some new pants :) Can't wait to see pics :)

what...we do the trhift stores first for our Halloween...the only way I would spend that kind of dough is if it is something that can double in another part of my life! And that had better be for years!

I am going to be a referee dominatrix!!!!!!  I have some kill stiletto boots that come up to my knees, a VERY ****ty ref shirt, tight pants (may switch to a skirt) and my Cleopatra black wig!!!! DH is gonna be a BB player in a purple warm up suit and biggo 'fro.  We have karaoke there too!  You guys are all invited!!!!  Would that be a dream *** true or what!!!!!
