well if you dont mind cooking soup.... I have a turkey chili recipie that is good - and low salt.. and fast! brown 1/2 lb ground turkey with 1/2 cup chopped onions and 1 clove garlic minced add 3t chili powder, 1t cumin, 1/2 t oregano, 1/4 t paprika and a dash of cayenne for heat cook for 5 minutes or so to really warm up the spices add 1 large (28 oz??) can of no salt added diced tomatoes add 1 regular (15 oz??) can low salt kidney beans - well rinsed!!!

cook till heated through and eat! this makes just about 5 cups of chili and is 110 cals per cup / 2.4 g of fat / 12 g carb / 22g protein.  Look for the lowest sodium beans and tomatoes - I have found that organic brands often have lower levels than the "low sodium" versions of the others!

What I've eaten is here for the world to see

Next mini goal is 290 by 1-31-08

My favorite soup is Amy's Black Bean Chili. Let's call it bang for yr buck, rather than low-cal. (Sorry to skip the question!) It has 200 calories, 15 grams of fiber, and 13 grams of protein. Yum. Butternut squash is a good one. I also like carrot-ginger soups. Too lazy to make either, though :(

I've tried that!  I'm a really big black bean fan, well actually all beans...I love em.  Another one of hers is her bisque?? tomato I think it was.  She has two kinds, I like the creamier one.  She has some good stuff, but spendy!  I might have to go ahead and spend the extra money just to get something descent.  But your right, she has really good soups.  I forgot about hers, thanks!
