HOW I lost my weight: 1. I eat more: vegetables than i ever have in my life. Even with a sandwich, i try have spinach in place of iceberg lettuce, a raw bell pepper, radishes, jicama,, anything!!! i concentrate on getting leafy greens every day. 2. I eat less: of my trigger foods. WW says if you don't want to slip, don't go where it's slippery. What is slippery for me is pizza, red spaghetti sauce with meat, rice, and/or pasta. If I have these foods, I try to make sure i eat a big salad to fill up the hole it makes me feel is there. Saltines are also dangerous. 3. My survival mantra is: remember this obesity is a chronic condition for me. If I fall down, it is to be expected, but it is up to me to do what it takes to get back on track. 4. I exercised (time of day, x a week, etc); at the crack of dawn so that it is out of my way. I shoot for five days a week minimum and go as fast as I can go that day for one hour. 5. Unexpected thing i see is: how much i have become accountable to me. Exercising most days especially has improved my self esteem. 6. Number one benefit i see: My clothes fit better! I am a person whose energy level is high whether I am fat or thinner, so that is not an issue for me. I can say that feeling like I look better allows me to concentrate on the task at hand and not pulling and tugging on my clothes or feeling like a frump. 7. The supplements I take are and why: multivitamin with lots of iron, fish oil, appetite suppressants (phendimetrazine 35 mg) on occasion as needed. Multivitamin to help control cravings (even tho I do think we do not assimilate all of it), fish oil for heart health, per Dr. pamela Peeke, app suppressants to divert my attention. 8. The way i fight craving is to: buy time. First, i ask myself, am I hungry? when was the last time I ate? If a small meal was recent, I try to make myself wait for ten minutes. Then if I still want something, i go to a high protein snack or fresh fruit. Lots of time, i forget about my gut and get to something else. 9. When i hit my goal i think that: the work continues. My focus must not change as I recall that obesity is a chronic condition for me. I cannot eat all the food I may desire in the amounts I may desire them. I must make choices for my best health. 10. If i fall off the wagon, I then: remind myself things take time. I get back up and try to examine why I fell and what I can do to avert the same condition. usually, I let myself get too hungry - or ate out of balance (not enuf veggies, fruits, regular small meals)

HOW I lost my weight: 1. I eat more: whole foods such as meats, vegetables, whole grains. I basically feel that if it hasn't lived in some form, it isn't worth eating. 2. I eat less: volume and junk food. I cut way down on portions and don't stick junk food or baked goods in my mouth. I stay far far away from white processed foods. 3. My survival mantra is: You are never going back there. 4. I exercised (time of day, x a week, etc); 4-5 days a week, directly after work. I ALWAYS have a gym bag packed, always have it ready in my car so no excuses. I exercise anywhere from 1 - 2 hours per day, but I don't aim for more so I don't set myself up for failure. 5. Unexpected thing i see is: Bones 6. Number one benefit i see: Just feeling 100% better about myself, physically and mentally 7. The supplements I take are and why: Multivitamin, 1200 mg of calcium + D a day (needed as we get older 600 mg in the morning and 600 mg at night as the body can't absorb more than that at one sitting), 1000 Vitamin C, 50 mg B-12, L-Lysine (amino acid not readily produced in large amounts, that is good for skin and hair and keeps away cold sores which I suffer from), stool softener, 8. The way i fight craving is to: Wait it out, fight it with everything I have, and not give in. 9. When i hit my goal i think that: I will pass out from the sheer surprise of it 10. If i fall off the wagon, I then: Get right back on. I rarely if ever fall off for more than one instance, never a full day. It's counter productive to all the work I've done to turn it around for the sake of food.

I loved your answer..."remember this obesity is a chronic condition for me. If I fall down, it is to be expected, but it is up to me to do what it takes to get back on track." I'll have to look at it again after I'm awake!
