OKAY. OKAY I was going to post last night, but DH has been working nights so I hadn't got to see him since last Sunday...long story short, he got a reprieve last night and got to come about 7:30pm.....so I got off the puter and spent some quality time with him....got some exercise too....LOL, probably TMI! So everything has been pretty uneventful.  I got my lapband on Oct. 4th., surgery went extremely well.  Doc told DH and parents it was one of the smoothest surgeries he had ever done.  I came out of recovery and got put in room around 9:00am.  By around 1:30-2:00, I was walking the halls with his help, the nurse spoke with the doctor and they ordered me a liquid diet meal.  Doc said if I could keep that down they would discharge me that night!  They discharged me at 7:30, I got home in time to watch Grey's Anatomy!!!!!! The second day after surgery was the roughest, and the only day that I haven't walked at least one mile.  But other than the gas pains from the surgery (air trying to escape feels trapped in neck and shoulder) I have had 0 complications.  I could have went back to work Tuesday or Wednesday, but he had taken vacation so he could take care of me, and our daughter was out of school on fall break so I stayed home until this past Monday.  I am currently in class for two weeks (last week and this coming week) and have had homework every night so I haven't been posting at all, barely checking my e-mails. I stayed on clear liquids for a week then full liquids for a week (I pureed about everything) now I am on soft foods and beginning next Wednesday I can go back on solids if I remember to chew everything VERY well!  Thus far (2weeks) I have lost 17 lbs., and am estatic about it but I know from reading the lapband forum that this is mostly due to being on liquids!  I know that I can't expect losses like this to continue and should only expect ~2 lbs. a week, but it sure is a sweet bonus!!!!!! I also know bandster hell is just around the corner and I am really going to have to be careful of what I eat until I get a couple of fills and reach that sweet spot.  I just really haven't had much to report because everything has went so well it's hard to remember that I even have this band inside me!  I will try to keep you posted more often though.... Congratulations on all your successes, I do try to look in and find out how you are doing from work but still not sure about posting from there!

Thanks for the reply, Angie.  We were all concerned about how you were doing since the band. So glad that everything is going so smooth for you!  Hope it continues.   When you and dh are not "exercising", be sure to keep us posted! Bren
