Hey Family.... I recently learned of this website as I was lurking on some of the other boards....  I know we all have different tools to track consumption, output and weight loss... but this website is really detailed and user friendly to track everything...   check it out and share thoughts http://www.thedailyplate.com

I absolutely love thedailyplate.com for tracking my food.  They have a huge food listing already so it is much faster than having to enter all the nutrition data for everything.  I try to be careful b/c I have found listings to be a little off on some things maybe if it is modified in some way-this applies more to pre-made restaurant items but still good to watch out for.  I found out about that site through violamom and it is my fave for food tracking. For everything else I really like extrapounds.com.  I find it's really important for me to blog, maybe b/c a lot of my food intake is related to my emotions.  Even if I don't overeat-my choices are still often driven by my mood.  It's great to go back to see where I was doing good and review what was happening in my mind and the same thing with set backs or challenges.  I track my activity, measurements, weight and journal and also use the support groups on there. Everyone's different and it's great to see so many sites to support people trying to maintain a healthier lifestyle and find people they share common goals with.  I find support to be very important and think that I may not have gained back the weight I lost if I had this then.

Violamom, I always knew you used this site I just never checked it out. Well finally I did. I love it. It'll count my calories and let me know how many I have left without me having to do the math lol. And I can track my water and everything it calculates how many calories I need to eat to be where I want. It's nice. I have finally come to my senses....no diets. Yes I am going to eat what I want and not starve just portion. Eat healthy but cure my cravings as well. :) I just have to exercise alot as well. Because I can't lose without exercise. I think I might start swimming at the gym. Which if Shari reads this.....you swim right or used to? What exactly did you do in tha****er? Laps? For how long? :) Thanks.
