Coldstone Creamery

Yesterday was my daughter's birthday....  I cooked dinner and then we went out to Coldstone Creamery....  My daughter, son and husband got some flavorful chocolate with some stuff mixed in... ME trying to be good got the  small Sinless Sans Fat™ - Non-fat No Sugar Added Ice Cream.   I got some pecans and some carmel.  Well let me just say... it had NO TASTE..... NONE, ZILTCH, ZERO TASTE...  I was looking at it mad... while my family were humming and ahhhing about how good theirs was....  My hubby said... if you are gonna break... break big.... I was wishing I hadda yesterday..because I was not happy with my choice....LOL

I think that ice cream has a weird plastic-y undertaste. I even tried the full fat.  No thanks.  We have a local creamery around here...and yeah...like your hubby says...I fully agree...why settle for a lot of something that doesn't taste good when you could have a little AWESOME something? I go once a year and share a black and tan....full fat homestyle vanilla smothered in hot fudge and home made caramel sauce, pecans, cream....I am pretty sure each bite must = 100 calories...but i am moaning with each one.

DAMN... Now that sounds good.... Well lesson learned on that.. and the one I had lastnight did taste like plastic... I was mad...LOL   I was grumbling about each bite and to make it worse my tummy is TORE up this morning....

okay if the nutritionals on the coldstone website don't scare you away completely, the best thing to do is get the "kid's size" which of course is really the size a normal scoop should be.  last time i looked, that "sinless" crap had the same amount of calories as the regular, so tis really a waste. the coldstone near where i used to live had some other "light" version which had fewer calories - so i usually got a kid size of the light whatever. light much better than sinless.

You sure right.. because what started off as  140 calories wound up being about 420 with the nuts and caramel on it....   So sad...

Know what, Diva?  (Coming from me, an ice cream addict), I'm GLAD that happened to you. Just think....if it would have tasted good, you may have craved it again and wanted to go back again and again.  Now you won't have the urge to splurge! Trust me, this is probably a good thing! Bren

Oh gosh!  I'm not sure why- maybe beings I've made Halloween decor with the kids all day, but at first glance I read this"  "Coldstone Crematory"   Yep!          COLD STONE CREMATORY! Okay.... forgive this... I am from a little island in Alaska with a population of MAYBE 3,000 people.... so I have NO CLUE what the "Coldstone Creamery" is :) About once per week I stop at the coffee shop and buy the kids a hot chocolate and myself a "skinny milk" Chai Tea... I'm not sure how much it has in it but I looked it up and it seemed to only use up like a few points. A Starbucks Cofee Taza Chai Latte with non fat milk is 3 points for a tall... I drink an 8 ounse cup and it is OHHHH SOOO GOOD!!!  I'm sorry you went through that :(   It just isn't fair :(
